View Full Version : Question about the NJ Nets
I am not really a sports fan, but live in NJ.
Why is it that when the NJ Nets got to the playoffs last year no one seemed to care even from NJ?

Maybe they suck and had no chance of winning.
Their uniforms aren't very stylish either.
I'll go with the uniform thing. Dwayne's method of picking winners has always worked for me.

they probably need to consistantly make the playoffs...
if it wasn't for Jason Kidd then I believe there would be much less attendance...
stars draw fans...

Thirty years of completly sucking tends to give a team a bad image. If everyone showed up and said they were the biggest Net fans they would be either a phony or a band wagon chaser. They have the next couple of years to build a fan base.
I wish I had a Kryptonite cross, because then I could keep both Dracula and Superman away.

Good call.

And look how fast Knicks fans dropped off after their crappy season last year, they had more people drop season ticket subscriptions than ever before

I'm a Knicks fan, but I have followed the Nets since they were playing in The ABA.
The Nets have always been a "doormat" franchise. They have rarely had a winning season and with the Knicks being the main team in the area, the Nets never built a solid fan base. That will change, as long as they keep on winning and eventually move into a new arena.
Jump on the bandwagon now. Tickets are always available, and it's a fun night out.

the nets are the money. i've always been a fan but one i don't like basketball that much and 2 they sucked balls forever so it was kinda hard to get psyched for them.
they are the money now though, if it wasn't for kazam we'd have the title.

Because they are moving to the Coliseum in the near future. I can't wait until Charles Wang returns the New York Nets to their rightful home.
