Halloween day, Blackkat, along with the Culture Defense Project,presents a massive protest party in City Hall Park!!

This event is a chance to stand up for arts and culture in NYC. Whether through the Rave Act, Cabaret Laws, or the "drug war", the arts and
cultures of NYC and USA are under intense attack.

Even as our democracy faces it's most difficult challenges, our communities are being outlawed. This takes away our right to gather, talk, dance,
create community, and just be.

The protest party campaign against the RAVE ACT has so far been quite successful in getting lawmakers to back off and reconsider this egregious legislation. But if we want to win, we have to keep up the pressure!

This event is the next step in that struggle. Not only will it make a great statement of support for youth culture, but will also be a great time!

Afrika Bambaataa and Frankie Bones will be there, will you?..

im not a hippie. If I was i wouldnt be sitting here at work while a protest for something that I love (Drugs of course) goes on. At least I get out of work in time to go get blasted and watch the village parade. If you got some free time and love drugs check out the rally. Should be a good time. <P>
