Vladimir Nabokov also had synaesthesia. Apparently it ran in the family. Once he and his wife Vera put together a chart of numbers and their colors. They then compared their results with their son, Dmitry Nabokov and found -- freaky -- that the son's colors had were a combination of mere et pere (i.e. Dmirty's five was green, while Vladimirs was blue and Vera's was yellow).
