The knicks actually showed some signs of life tonight. Eisley was benched for Sprewell at point guard, but it seemed to work. When Houston is on fire - and Nailon is playing well, the team looks..better. Maybe when McDeyes gets back they can be a .500 ballclub.

You're talking like McDyess is going to be back this year. He's gone for the year and the Knicks will not be a .500 team. And I am a HUGE Knicks fan.

Yea it really worked, with Spree getting a whole 5 points and going 2-13 from the field.
Maybe I should just start trying to be optimistic like you, but how can I be with such a horrible coach? Not to mention, it looks like we arent gonna use that $4.5 million from the league. What a waste. Maybe next year I'll have something to look forward to.

Ha I said the same thing when they beat the Kings. Changed my mind their next game. I mean even when they win they suck! Did you see them vs. Detroit? Jeez! But Im willing to believe if they win a few more games, only cuz Im a really loyal Knicks fan
My your vagina looks lovely today!

your not wrong, the Knicks totally suck. Its just when i turned on the game after halftime i expected them to lose - like usual. I am trying to be optimistic as itsa long season and Houston hit some shots with 3 guys in his face. Im not sure how a team like the knicks can be allowed to exist in NY with so much money at stake and tickets at outrageous prices.

I'm a Net fan but I have to admit that the Knicks could be pretty decent... next season.
Could be are the operative words.
If...
-they move Houston and that enormous contract out of New York and not Spree (who the fans want). Sprewell is the main reason the fans go out to MSG and not Houston!
-Frank Williams learns to play in the NBA (fantastic college player).
-They get rid of the Utah bench All-Stars (Shandon Anderson, Howard Eisley) and Weatherspoon.
-Control the "Ticking Time Bomb" Kurt Thomas.
-Have a healthy McDyess.
-Give the Big O (not Oliver Miller), Othella Harrington more playing time!
The Knicks would have a team of Sprewell, McDyess, Harrington, Kurt Thomas, Frank Williams and Nailon (off the bench for points). That's a pretty good nucleus.

you cant win in the NBA without a capable point guard. The Knicks havent had a top point guard in a long while. Watching Jason Kidd last night was a clinic in point guard proffiency and how it makes the other 4 players better.
