My blowdryer is very close to my toilet and is usually plugged in. If I peed on it, will the electricity travel up and kill me?

I heard the same thing about peeing on train tracks... never pee on the third rail

I'm confused as to how you'd be peeing on your blowdryer, I mean, is it actually in the toilet, how could this possibly be a concern of yours?

It's right next to my toilet on the floor but it's plugged in. So, when I peed before, I sat there and wondered if I only went over six inches to the right, who I be electrocuted?

Like would it travel up my stream and kill me?

thats like the risk of peeing on the 3rd rail.

Stories say that you will get eletricuted...but I dont know how true that really is.

Even if it were inconvenient, I would probably put the hair dryer in a dryer area. Anything wet - water, urine, etc. can cause problems.

Mira, let me put your mind at ease.

Hand held hair dryers made in the US after 1991, have a ground fault circuit interrupter plug, which provides full immersion protection when in either the "on" or "off" position.

This means that even if you throw it in the bathtub and it's on, you shouldn't be able to get electrocuted. Peeing on it, would certainly not cause electrocution.

Since the introduction of immersion protection devices for hand-held hair dryers, there have only been about 2 hair dryer related electrocutions a year.

You would only get electrocuted if the pee was a unbroken stream from your skin to the source of electricity.

If a guy peed on the third rail, the pee would have to be in a long stream coming out of his penis, unbroken, then hitting the rail whilst still in contact with the skin.

Also, you'd have to pee UNDER the 3rd rail. The top of the 3rd rail is covered with something that makes it not dangerous (ive walked on it). Underneath is where all the juice is.

My science teacher explained all of this to us in 10th grade shortly before he was fired
