The Blue Stuff for the Combs in the Barber Shop

I was pondering this while I was getting my crewcut the other day.

HK this may have been mentioned on the board before but what is it exactly? Is it a disinfectant? Does it taste good like perhaps Kool-Aid?

The really expensive Barbicide containers are the one's with the beveled glass (they are now collectors items); the new ones are round. And watch out, many barbers are known to skimp on the stuff and either dilute it or just add blue food coloring to alcohol.

Wow, you must go to a real "high falutin" barber if he actually disinfects the combs.

I always assumed it's water and food coloring that gets changed once a decade whether it needs it or not

i cut my own hair. the barber i used to go to moved to silver spring so im not going all the way out there. they replaced him with a whole group of Koreans who dont know any english.

It is $7 bucks for a haircut but I usually give him $10 and tell him to keep the change, if you guys are wondering.
