Ron and Fez ratings conundrum

The radio dentist often writes about Ron and Fez's ratings. Maybe Ron and Fez's ratings can be partially explained by the rating process. I wonder if Arbitron actually polls the people who do listen to RnF or does it instead sample from outside of the RnF audience. Personally I've never been polled and neither have any of my friends.

How many RF.net board members have ever been polled for Arbitron ratings?

i don't know what a conundrum is but i do believe that all arbitron ratings are done at random...if they polled only RF listeners we'd be #1 now wouldn't we...

plus if you guys remember WNEW doesn't subscribe to arbitron, or any ratings distributer becaues they're cheap bastards..so what they hear they have to hear from other people...

that's how it was a few months ago anyway.

Arbitron takes a random sample of the listeners in the market, and they divides that into the demographics from there. The don't pull from one audience or another. You also have to remember the staggering amount of people in the NYC area, thus making it less likely that a board member would get polled.

Arbatron did call me once about 2 years back. I was told at that time that I couldn't be listening to WNEW, so I guess my vote didn't count.
