Tuesday the 14th of Jan. will be the First Bar9 gathering of the New year (9th ave between 53rd and 54th in Manhattan)...Hope everyones holidays were excellent and we're looking forward to hanging and power-drinking with you guys in 2003...Every other Tuesday...

P.S.- Tues. the 14th is Mikey the bass players birthday!! Happy birthday Mike!!!

We've been going to bar 9 for over a year now, and you're just learing this? The only bartender that knew anything picked up and moved to California over the summer. Someone should really buy the bartenders one of those books telling them how to make drinks. So glad I drink beer.

Bobby doesnt hide his stash very well.
always check to make sure youre not giving 2 pba cards to 1 person.
bar9 chicken fingers taste like air Altho he says he doesnt, Ron has a great memory (he remembered my name...again) theres nothing wrong with the door--it's F1g's foot Best way to get a yuppie to leave? Snot rocket in his martini. some people think i'm funny. (thanks to the few who said that--made my night). being in view of the dance floor almost makes up for not drinking. TooCute appreciates me itll be even better next time.

Last night was lovey...

Great meeting lots of new people and hanging out with my peeps. I got a kick out of the people who have though I was Asian....I'm Italian, LOL.

The band killed, as usual.

The way Ron and Fez and the guys represent there, what other celebrities make themselves that accessible and show such appreciation to their "fan base."? Mad extra chubby props. They are awesome...

But that bartender sucked ass.

Some guy next to me ordered 3 shots of tequila and she responded, "you're killing me with all these shots." What the fuck, that's like the easiest thing to make. You're a fucking bartender. Another guy next to me ordered a pint of Guinness and she took a pint glass out of the wash rack, still steaming hot and used that. I told him to return it and he did and she says, "all I have is hot glasses, next time order bottled beer."

Next time I'm going to order Pousse cafe's, Grasshoppers, Brandy Alexander's with nutmeg on top and Old Fashioned's with my fruit extra muddled. See how she likes that...

At the end of the night, I asked to speak to the manager, and the bartender WAS the manager...I told her she needed some extra help behind the bar cause she was clearly overwhelmed, and she says they only schedule one bartender cause it's a Tuesday night, but she gets slammed every time Brother Joe plays "because all these Ron and Fez people show up." And I'm like, so haven't you learned the lesson yet, if it wasn't for Ron and Fez and Brother Joe, this bar would have 4 people in it on a Tuesday night. I criticized her bartending skills tactfully (as a former bartender myself) and left off by nicely saying, remember: "every other Tuesday" and just cause you're overwhelmed does not mean you take it out on the clientele.

I hope it sunk in...She actually was pretty chill when things calmed down and I got to speak a little Russian with her (she's Bulgarian, but spoke Russian too...).

But again a great time.

What's wrong with a little D&D?

Besides, you ALL looked at my "grammar-Nazi boots"! (I now need boot-polish for them.)

I also learned a few things at Bar9:

* I learned that Brother Joe's Band hates playing Jesse's Girl but they played it because Missy and Anna are hot. And very persistent.

* Dancing in front of the band was fun; I especially watching Laird's eyes pop out of his head while staring at all the girls on the dance floor.

* Ron remembers me and I only met him for 10 seconds or so at Halloween. . . wow! I'm impressed.

* ChrisTheCop is still classy. And a gentleman. :)

* It is a VERY small world. I ran into a guy I knew from college at the bar.

* I also learned that there was more than one guy at my job who wanted to date me, which I find terribly hard to believe.

I also learned that joining a conversation to help move a bunch of St Elmos' Fire wannabes is the best route to go.

I also learned that I should always add plus two hours to the time I say I am going to leave...(IE, I say 11PM so it means I leave 1AM).
