given us over the past several years.

The Ron and Fez Show will no longer be on WNEW. We would have liked to have
done a 'see ya' show to thank you all, but such is the radio business. The
show will still be on the air on WJFK in Washington, DC.

Nobody has enjoyed being on the air in New York as much as Ron and Fez. It
has been an honor to spend our overnights, middays, evenings, afternoons,
middays again and finally back to evenings with you. No matter where they
put us, we always had fun and we always tried our best to make sure you had
fun too.

Who knows what the future may bring, but the way this business works, we may
be back in your radios before you know it.

I've been listening to the boys since day one and although I have never actually called the show or posted to the board before (in fact I just registered today so I could write this), I felt I had to post my feelings on this sad day. Ron & Fez were more than just a radio show. They were like a couple of friends. The relationship they had with their audience was like no other show I've ever heard. I was looking forward all day to hear how ecstatic Fez was going to be talking about the Bucs. I wrote my letters but in the end I guess it was in vain. We can only hope that they end up back in NYC some day soon. Until then...Take it easy Clarkie!

Yesterday, during the Super Bowl I found myself rooting for the Bucs, even though I'm a Jets fan. I wanted to hear Fezzies jubilation. I woke up to the message board and was shocked to find out my buddies were gone. I never got on air or met the boys but the radio was locked to the show 10-2 and 7-11:30. I never had so much fun day after day, night after night. Ron and Fez are great comedians and always put together a great show. I turned on the radio this evening as I always do to listen to Ron and Fez, the only thing that really makes me laugh so hard, soda comes out my nose. And what do I hear? Some crappy R&B crappy crap! So I messed with my dial, thinking I had it on Z100 (100.3) or KTU (103.5) even, but no.. lo and behold, top 40 to the left and the right.
I did not think that WNEW would ever do this. They are insane. COMPLETELY INSANE!
I sure hope that K-Rock picks Ronnie and Fezzie up, even if it's in the AM's (to tell you the truth I'm sick of Howard Stern).

This sucks... I was driving on the expressway earlier today & tuned to NEW, only to hear music, my first thought was UH OH. I made it a point to be back in my car & heading to work at 7pm only to hear more shitty music. At first I thought it was a Ron & Fez joke, the same joke they played on us when it was rumored that the station was changing to country. I remember that night well, they did about 45 minutes of continuing country music, I remember think about that night while I listened tonight so I stayed tuned all night and all I heard was the same 5 songs played over & over again, but like a fool I kept listening then realized they were gone. Althou I never went to any live gigs, I was always tuned in from day one and the dot com days, and called a few times.

I was at work all day, receiving calls and text messages from concerned board members and fans of the show.
And all the while I was certain that everything would be alright.

After reading this letter, I can't stop the tears.
I might not have been a 'long-time' listener as many of the others, but I sure as hell grew very fond of the boys. I shared laughs with them, and they've got me through a lot.
I am so going to miss them being in New York.
I am so sad right now, like I dunno what else to say.
Hopefully we can still listen to them somewhere online.

It's hard to believe that 6 months ago WNEW was a killer station with the likes of Ron and Fez, O & A, Scott Ferrall etc., and now it's become a Z-100 wannabe. I read this email late last night. So sad indeed. One of the sadest emails I have ever written. It really did make it FINAL. And man did it suck.

Sun morning aroudn 1 AM I turned on the radio to hear some loveline before bed. I heard Ja Rule. Listened to the FAN for a bit...then turned back to WNEW. I heard Christina. I knew right then and there it was over. I couldn't believe it.

And why are they doing this no DJ just straight song after sogn format with the DUMB ASS "Station coming soon." Cant they put R & F on until they get it all set up instead of F-in music?!!? This sucks so bad.

I used to tape R & F all the time for my weekend driving from the city and back, as well as going back and forth to Cornell while I was at college. This is a major blow for me. I have to get cable right away. At least I can hear them on the web. But it soooooo will never be the same. And feeds(which I did at school) are so unpredictable. DAMNIT THIS SUCKS!!!

I am very sad too. I have definately passed into a mourning stage.I have been Ron and Fez fans since the beginning when I would listen to them overnights on long drives back to PA where I was living at the time. I would often lose them at the Jersey line, but they got me through some tough sad times and have continued to be dear radio friends since then. I will miss their quick wit and perspective on things. That kind of humor can only come from two very intellegent men with hearts of gold.

This is my first post to the board, although I've been a listener since the .com days. I am very sad to see Ron and Fez off the air in NY, as they gave us all something wonderful to listen to on NY radio besides Pink Floyd's

This is my first post to the board, although I've been a listener since the .com days. I am very sad to see Ron and Fez off the air in NY, as they gave us all something wonderful to listen to on NY radio besides Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" fifty-seven times an hour. The show was brilliant, often times outshining (as we all have come to see) the only show that WNEW and Infinity Broadcasting really cared about...O&A. Through the multiple shift changes that WNEW and Infinity Broadcasting put the boys through, we all stuck by them and kept listening. We showed our loyalty time and time again. And what happens? WNEW, the place where rock once lived and talk was starting to reign supreme, give us all the finger and go(seemingly) Top 40. All I can say now is that Ron and Fez will undoubtedly be missed and I will definitely be sending my share of letters to the disastrously faded minds at Infinity Broadcasting. Good luck, R&F...wherever you are.
