R&F To JFK - 1/28 - It looks like Ron and Fez will be booked on the next flight from LaGuardia to Reagan National. Their flagship station, Infinity's NYC FM hot talker WNEW, has started stunting for a new format. A Monday announcement from the duo of risque evening talk - "To all our New York buddies: We just wanted to thank you for all the support and friendship that you have given us over the past several years. The Ron and Fez Show will no longer be on WNEW. We would have liked to have done a 'see ya' show to thank you all, but such is the radio business. The show will still be on the air on WJFK in Washington, DC." The NY Daily News adds that Infinity spokesperson Dana McClintock has "confirmed that Ron and Fez, WNEW's last live talk team, are moving to sister station WJFK in DC. This disappointed R&F fans, who have waged a spirited campaign to keep them here".....

Will Elliot Segal, morning drive guy at Clear Channel's DC101, bolt for a like time slot at Infinity's "new" WNEW in NYC, which is flipping from hot talk to something else - probably adult album alternative rock - as we speak? Not a done deal yet, as CC's legal eagles will likely try to throw a wrench in it. Segal used to co-host mornings at the Big Apple's contemporary WHTZ (Z100) before he came to DC a few years ago. Segal's a big hockey fan. DC's only got one team. The NYC area has three. And, by the way, don't know if this is related but DC101 aired "best of" Elliot shows on Monday and Tuesday. Hmmm.....

As if NYC isn't suffering enough already, you might get stuck with this tool.

You know, it's a mystery how the FCC still allows infinity to hold an operator license for this piece of garbage station! Infinity, and WNEW just can't stop pulling our dicks with their bullshit speculations. They may play country?, maybe rock n roll, NO, they can't do that because that will be conflicted interest with it's sister stations WXRK, and WCBS, maybe we'll roll against Z100 as the "NEW" morning zoo?LOL, gee, hip hop sounds nice, blues?, top40?, gee, I guess the FCC will have to cancel us until we make up our minds! Beloved family members, lets not allow Infinity, and WNEW to further treat us as dispensable bitches and keep pulling our dicks with bullshit stunts and buzzes!, we deserve better!
