I saw this tonight and was really pleased by it. They did a very good job presenting both sides of the conflict, and the battle scenes were great and pretty accurate, especially those at Fredericksburg.

I also gotta give it props cause my ancestor's unit was featured prominently not only in the Manassass battle scenes, but they had not one, but two flags during the opening...

I can only hope the 33d Virginia becomes as popular as the 20th Maine :)

I really want to see this flick, but I don't know if I can sit through 3 hours and 47 minutes of a movie.

I think on the DVD they'll have the director's cut, which is around 6 hours i think....
