This morning, at EIGHT FUCKING THRITY as I am happily sleeping off the liquor - someone down the street fires up a leaf blower and a FUCKING CHAINSAW. ALL MORNING.

East Side was truly the highlight of my evening as I found a nice comfy spot at a table and was thenf orce fed fries and THEN made to get up every five minutes. It was worth it though to see the breakdancing and doing the retardo with Patti.

ALWAYS great to see the Chairman and talk music.

Angel Amy making friends with a beetle was interesting too.

Nothing though beat helping a Blind Man into a cab.

The Joshua Tree was great.

My first night out in two weeks after having the flu and being in bed for my birthday with a 102 temp.

Great talking about music with fluffermutter and missy and realizing that bands I consider recent (circa '90) might be kinda not recent.

I was really tired. Thank goodness for Provigil, used "off label", of course...Keeps you awake.Too bad it doesn't make you look awake.

Good seeing everyone...everyone looked particularly good, except for me. Oh well.

Smoking Pall Malls after being sick = NO GOOD.

Drinking all things ethyl like a parched wildebeest at the only water hole at the Masai Mara Game Park during dry season = NO GOOD.

No offense to other paparazzi, but I like Rich. He seems to like including guys in his pictures. He has a great talent. Check out his web site.

Red Rocks West=GOOD. Especially on a Tuesday when it's not a sausage fest. The RnF gals certainly represent. Up on the bar our hotties looked like mouse pinks being gawked by starved serpents, but hey that's what makes it so much fun. Alas, our little Rock Cornish Game hens were whisked away by chivalrous RnF men, lest they enter into a cock fight.

Letting the bartender know you're celebrating your birthday=GOOD. I drank a peck of HUGE shots of that Meister named Jager, murky as the waters Mary Jo Kopechne drowned in.

Despite Ms. Haze's disdain for my Bob Eubanks-esque gregariousness, it did bear fruit for some. Your welcome.

All I can say to some people is "think less." You know who you are.

Ate pretty decent food at Penn Station. In waiting room, as Too Cute slept on my lap, this random woman pulled out a Tijuana Smalls cigar and asked me what cigars were made from. Then she asked me if I believed in God. My answers did not provide incentive for her to ask a third question.

Left Penn dark outside, arrived home light outside, with commuters GOING to work. Glad I had off this week.

Despite getting home at 6AM, still managed to finish Criterion Seven Samurai. Fell asleep on the couch.

Woke up at 13:30. Hung over like Teddy Kennedy the day after Mary Jo failed her swim test.

Three words. Onset. Explosive. Sudden. (not necessarily in that order). The bottom of the toilet seat looked like something Jackson Pollock would have painted if he ever had a "Brown" period.

I think that was a little too much information. Sorry.

2 Excedrin, 1 Nexium, 1 10mg. Valium, 1 mutivitamin, a triple espresso, 3 shots of Fernet Branca with a Coke chaser and a greasy lunch. The hangover panacea.

Anyway, great seeing all of you. Can't wait for next time. You rule.

And I truly do not miss the sense of being awake and watching the hangover roll in. It's like a thunderstorm, but it lasts all day.

Last, but not least, I respectfully disagree with the Chairman's assessment of the best hangover cure - mine has always been green tea. Works wonders. But, then again, I am a super-lightweight.
