that's a great story, sounds like your Dad has a good sense of humor...

my Dad does some funny stuff but it's usually by accident...like when he bent his ankle on the uneven sidewalk coming out of the Chinese restaurant, he almost went down but caught himself. Luckily me and my brother were there behind him to laugh our balls off...

stuff like that...

Or like when me and my brother were kids and my dad was tearing the house apart looking for his reading glasses. He asked us if we had seen them and my brother (with a straight face) said that he saw them around somewhere- they were sitting on the top of his head the whole time!!!

I prefer the sunny side up so I can dip buttery toast in the yolks.

Over-Easy with two pieces of buttered toast cut diagonally.

Your dad sounds really cool Chairman.

Sunny-side up. You eat the white around the yoke and then scoop up the yoke and eat it whole (or, as my dad used to do, you break up the yokes and sop everything up with the toast).

I also like omelettes. I like to eat mine on a buttered bagel.

Ironically, when my dad had cancer he ate eggs every single day. His cholesteral levels were stellar!

Chairman,

Why did you edit your story out?

anything where the yolk is actually cooked, like scrambled or an omeltte. i think it's disgusting when the yolk is all runny like that. it tastes like shit to me too, but when it's all cooked together it's yummy :)

I got a great order of huevos rancheros at a spot in Santiago de Chile a while back with a side order of shrimp pil pil and a short coffee. There's nothing better than a good breakfast, a good coffee, and a good newspaper in a classy joint. IMO El Mercurio is the best daily in South America; certainly their arts section is much better than that of the Times. That's likely my favorite breakfast of all time.

I'm a fan of having breakfast out, I really am. I rarely ccok eggs for myself but I'll take 'em sunny side please.
But not underdone- and the edges have to be brown.
If all else fails- screw the yolks.
I like the egg whites best anyway...
