Is anyone else annoyed by the newly frequent use of sound effects and drop-ins on the show? The horse sound effect any time Lizzie Grubman's name is mentioned is particularly annoying to me. But in general, I think the sounds make R&F too much like some of the other shows- when the best thing about them is that there usually so different than everyone else.

BTW, its really great to be a part of the board, and to see so many names I've heard over the air for so long!!!

CLASSY CHICK - The horse sound effect is from Young Frankenstein. I don't think many people get it, but it cracks me up.

Welcome Classy!
My favorite sound effect is the sounds of silence: Al Dukes thinking out loud.

In the classic Mel Brooks'Young Frankenstien every time they mentioned Frau Bleuker(I think that was her name, played by Cloris Leachman)you heard that sound of the horse. Great movie.

Correction for the boys: The spear is really a dart gun adn the opening is someone blowing into it.

And everytime they play the baby laughing i feel so creepy.

It's true, how many times will a lot of these sound effects be used?

The sound effects are just as a part of the show as Ron and Fez...There is nothing funnier than listening to AL Dukes rant in his 3 word sentences about something serious then hearing "I'm Gay" or "I have Balls" at the end of his statement...I dont get the lizzie grubman thing, but i never seen that movie so whats the big deal? Lets just hope it doesnt turn into a Radio Chickesque style when we hear the little boy say "Oh no" everytime they mention a kid....Just my opinion!

The only sound effect that gets annoying is that Hoo-Ra every time someone says a Big Ass Card number. That just seems like something a cheesy show like Don & Mike would do.

By the way, I have a question for the long-time listeners about the See Ya's. Is that a jab at other radio shows that say that at the end of the show? A lame station in Houston always says See Ya!, but I can't tell if R&F are doing it to be goofy or not. Someone please tell me it just started out as a joke.

I have a question for the long-time listeners about the See Ya's

well all I know is they used to do it at late before they left and to my understanding they did it on the radio show in flordia too and i guess how most things originate on the radio on listener does it than anaother and another and another to you have a classic line. well thats was my 2 cents ok. SEEE YA!!!
