this looks good. Parents will bring their kids too so it will do well. I think it takes animals or kids to make Eddie Murphy funny.

I couldn't agree more. And don't think that Eddie doesn't know that this (not the blue comedy) is his forte now.

Parents are always looking for movies to bring the kids to, there is always a market for this.

Eddie Murphy was hilarious in Shreck! And speaking as
a parent, we have to take the sproggen to every
goddamned kid movie that comes out. It always nice if
we can actually find some enjoyment from the flick as
well. I am looking forward to this one.

Wish my kids were old enough to accompany me to
House of 1000 Corpses, tho. *sigh*

I think Eddie Murphy should go back to the comedy that made him king...the Raw years....the Bevery Hills Cop/Golden Child smart ass we all loved so much...

I consider The Golden Child to be one of the best comedy/action flicks ever made. You show me one person who didn't laugh when he did that rap on the buddhist stone scroll "say i -i -i -i -i want the knife..."

"Brother NUMSI!" oh cmon...classic classic Murphy...

I'm all for the kids and I'm not a kid hater like some people in this world. I'm also glad Jeff Carlin is in this movie too, I'll propbably watch it...eventually.

The fact of the matter is with the exception of Bowfinger which was a Steve Martin flick, Murphy isn't as funny AS HE USED TO BE.
The Nutty Professor 1 & 2 were funny because he was almost every character like in Coming to America and Dr DoLittle was funny because of the talking animals.

When your kids get older, throw in the Delirious, 48 Hours, or Beverly Hills Cop DVD(s).
Sit down and make a nice bag of popcorn, get out the Iced Tea or Pop then select "Play Movie". Compare these movies to his later films. I know deep down you guys somewhat agree.

He was funnier cursing and making fun of white people.

Eddie Murphy needs to team up with Dudley Moore's rotting corpse and make a sequel to Best Defense. That movie rawked!
