i've had this discussion with a couple of different people now, and i'm curious what you all think. now, there's was an rf show way, way back in which they had this contest with a bunch of girls in studio. i don't remember how it went exactly, but they basically ended up doing dares of various levels of difficulty (i think some of the girls on the board were there, so maybe they can explain better)... anyway, one of them was made to take a bite out of a raw onion like an apple, and eat it. another had to take a bite from a stick of butter, and eat that.

my boyfriend and i discussed this first. i was sure that there was no way in hell that anyone would choose the onion if they had the option between that and the butter. and yet, that's what he chose. so, i've asked a few more people since, with varying results.

so, the question for you is - would you rather take a bite out of a raw onion, or a stick of butter?

edit: if i've posted about this before, my apologies. i've been meaning to bring it up for a while, but i don't think i ever have.

I'd eat the onion. Vidalia onions are so freakin good, sweet as apples. taking a bite out of one might be a bit much, but a stick of butter would make me puke.

I was one of the poor souls to take part in that bit. I had to do some pretty nasty stuff, but the event in question was done by Gina from Hoboken. I don't recall if she had a choice (although both an onion and stick of butter were used in the game at some point) but she took a HUGE bite out of that butter and it was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. She had to chew it! Now consider the consistency/density of a square-inch of butter, as compared to one bite from an onion. I would definitely take the onion. Also, after eating either, I would imagine the butter would make you sick to your stomach, whereas the nastiness of the onion would be over with as soon as the taste left your mouth.
