View Full Version : Bassist Noel Redding dead
Noel Redding , bassist for the Jimi Hendrix Experience, died yesterday.
I think I'll play his great bass solo from Electric Ladyland's "1983...A Merman I Should Turn To Be".

This is a sad day indeed.
The Jimi Hendrix Experience will always be one of the greatest rock bands ever. Noel Redding, Mitch Mitchell and Jimi Hendrix created music that made me want to be a musician back when I first started to really get into music.
He will be missed.

WOW I didn't hear this. THAT SUX. He was an awesome bass player. I collected over 100 Jimi Hendrix recordings and can't get enough.

He used to be a real good guitar player, but when he saw Hendrix play, he said fuck it, and switched to bass just to be in the band. I would have done the same thing. I love power trio's, and Hendrix, Redding and Mitchell was one of the best ever.
