I crack my back sometimes, maybe once a day. I will raise my hands over my head and lean back over the backrest of the chair. I can get a good crack all the way down my back and sometimes i get a shooting pain in my arms.
The pain goes thru my triceps and it goes from shoulders and it stops at my elbows. The pain is sharp and very focused but it does not really hurt. Should I see a doctor?

no just either stop cracking your back or find a different way to do it.

I think if you're getting shooting pains and its been going on for a while, you should get it checked out.

You might want to see a chiropracter. I had bad back and neck pain and my chiropracter really helped me out.
You'll feel amazing after getting your back cracked.

Cracking your knuckles lead to arthritis. I guess I am going to have it badly.

Cracking your knuckles will not cause arthritis. It's an old wife's tale.
"Cracking your back or neck" will not ordinarily cause pain. If you're getting radicular pain into your arms it could be indicative of spinal impingement in the cervical spine.
You must see a doctor about this.
The pain is sharp and very focused but it does not really hurt.
If it doesn't hurt, in what way is it pain?

It does hurt, just not enough to "hurt". I know it is pain, it DOES hurt, it is just not intense or extremely uncomfortable. Its very focused and it goes away quickly, but it doesnt cause me to act differently. Kinda hard thing to explain.
And it could easily be a back problem because my dad has scoliosis and it is noticeable (he doenst have a hump or a hunch), and my brother has chronic back pain.

I'm assuming from your reply that you experience either very short term pain or a "weird" feeling.
If it's radiating into your upper extremeties, it's a cervical problem (or possibly but not likely upper thoracic). Lumbar problem can cause radiculapathy into the legs but not the arms.

it's a cervical problem
I had a feeling my cervix was behind this.

DAVE - If you're having problems with your cervix, I'd submit that you're in bigger trouble than impingement in the neck.
