Funny!!

Ron: Your saying that monkeys built a huge tower.
Fez: To reach the moon, to eat it.
Ron: You see why people think christians are stupid.

That was hilarious. Ron sounded embarassed because Tim mentioned he NEVER had to dump them.

I loved Fez's laughing.

Having done some radio, the F bomb goes out Constantly in songs. I'll have to grab the list at one of the College Stations here; it's a list of songs that get heavy airplay on FM radio but have Clear F-Bombs in them.
Example: Who are You by the Who = Clear F-bomb in last chorus.
And it's played everywhere.
I missed the part in question, however; so I'm responding here to watch my post count near the century mark.

I remember one time when that had that crazy lady on (the one who called about 4 times since the june) who's husband died (from an overdose... remember this lady). She was dropping the F bomb like there was no tommarrow. Eventually Ron and Fez got to real time and they couldnt dump anymore, so a few got out on the radio. Too bad that on the Best-ofs they bleep it.

That was the night of the infamous on air appearance of Rutger Hauer. That was when the boys were pulling two a days and they were starting to reach their wits end. Hard to believe that it was less than one year ago...

ahh... good times. 8 hours of my day were with those guys, and it was the summer, so I'd be able to hear every minute of the shows. but the boys did deserve a brake.

And a reason you may never hear that show in replays is that Anthony was on the show with them if you remember. I remember just pissing laughing at that show from one end to the next. It was just soooo fucking funny...{Cues up "memories" in background

I was listening, but was doing something else, so I wasn't paying that close attention when it happened. However, when it did, it was one of those "did I just hear what I thought I heard?" moments.

That's Irene. I believe she started calling O&A first, and then R&F.

Am I the only one who believes censoring "the 7 deadly words" is ridiculous?

Tell me that there's not a 5 year old who hasn't heard these words many times already.

More importantly, show me one study that shows that kids (or adults) who are harmed from hearing the word shit or fuck, etc.

Conversely, supressing these words, demonstrates the Puritinical nature of American society and may cause harm by making it seem that there is something wrong with normal biological functions.

HK - I agree with you beliefs on curse words being censored. Mainly the Big 3.

Its stupid, because it was the church that dubbed those words too horrbile to utter, and today FUCKING is what thier doing with their free-time.

Plus a word that was a curse in Jesus's time most likely wasnt Cunt, or Fuck. So technically, those arent curse words. Religion oughta be a curse word.

Look, there ARE some things that kids just don't have to hear until they are of a "right" age (Whatever that may be for each child)...I want it changed so that TV and radio could lift language censorship after a certain time, say, at 9 PM or 10 PM at night, when children who shouldn't be exposed it to much SHOULD be in bed to begin with.

1. No one has even claimed that there is any demonstrable harm to anyone from hearing "curse words"

2. No one has been able to objectively define a "curse word"

3. If parents don't want their kids to hear shows with these words, they have the option to exercise their parental authority. Tell the kid "You can't watch/listen to this."

Don't care. Yelling "Fuckityfuckfuckmotherfuckfuckyouffuckerfuckadoodle fuck" at, say, a five-year-old, is absurd, and I don't need science to tell me that. But that being said, my MAIN concern with lifting certain "language restrictions" is that it'll lead to a LOT more crappy radio. Why try to be funny or clever when you can just say, literally, "fuck it"?

Easier said that done if you lift all restrictions. As a parent, it's nearly impossible to control everything that your kids are exposed to. While I don't think there is necessarily a danger in allowing them to hear different curse words, I don't think there's any reason that they need to be exposed to these words at an early age. I agree with Mojo that language restrictions should be lifted only for those parts of the day in which kids are less likely to be exposed.

If you have the show in it's segments, I believe it's in the 4th segment.

The AFRO Hour
