I met this girl a few weeks ago and instead of giving me her number she gave me her
screen name (I HATE THAT). She has been burnt in the past so while she says she
loves talking to me (Through the computer) she is not ready just yet. How much time
should I waste talking to her. I am still looking for other ladies fdon;'t get me wrong. I
am not going to stop talking to other women when I am not even dating this girl. But
how much time should I give her of this IM crap. She does seem real nice and did I

CYYYFYYY maybe give her sometime. I know how standard rules apply, but if this girl has really been hurt like you said, than she may need more time. Maybe try testing the waters with her and push things a little harder to see if she give in. You need to make it clear that you're trying to establish trust with this girl.
I think that once she feels comfortable enough she'll be cool to give you more.

Plus if she's hot, she's worth waiting for then.

I agree with Arienette.

CyyFyy, you didn't say she was a bitch or anything, and you described her as hot. Which means she has a lot of offers and has to have a system for weeding out those not worth her time.

She probably wants to make sure you are interested in her for who she is, and not just trying to get into her pants. If you stick it out, kind of get to know her, and she gets to know you (this is tricky because the net is so anonimous), she'll get to trust you, and give you more info. Or you might just realize that she's just not worth the effort.

I don't have a problem with AIM, but if it's the only way she'll talk to you, she could very well have a man, and you'll never know will you? If I seem a bit too emotional it's because this has been done to me several times, or I've been the boyfriend, while the chick would go online and pretend she is single and hide it from me just for attention.
