What's the deal with Cuba? How come we don't go over there and get rid of Castro? Wouldn't it be a good time to go after him now since he no longer has the backing of the Russians. And why is it that if Cubans make it to our shore they can stay, but if other people from other latin countries are turned away? We got to get back at Castro to get rid of that Bay of pigs fiasco that he hangs over our head.

Cuba is a threat to the US...atleast that's what the US says. We have embargo's, OAS restrictions, as well as harsh fines placed on companies who do business with Cuba (even for medical supplies). Cuba is made to suffer in order to set an example to the rest of the 3rd world. A nation can not be allowed to directly disobey the US with a communist influence (even after the USSR fell apart); they are meant to suffer for their sins. Once Castro dies, the noose will be slightly loosened as they see our way of business, government and policy.

The fact of the matter is that Cuba has aided and abetted terrorists over the years about as much as Iraq has, maybe more.
For over 30 years the argument has been that Castro is in ill health and is on the way out, so we just need to wait just a little while longer.
The way to topple him is with a tidal wave of Levis, VCRs, burger joints, etc.
Dictators ignore boycotts and other economic sanctions.
Then when a Cuban Lech Walesa and a Cuban Solidarity Movement arise and throw the bastards out, American Republicans will rush to take the credit like they did with Reagan.
