Just reading the paper today re: the continued search for Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. Despite not finding any concrete evidence yet, Rumsfield was quoted as saying to the effect that Iraq most proabably destroyed them prior to the U.S. attack. I don't know about anyone else but it seems that even though we are winnning(aren't we?), Saddam always seems to be 1 step ahead of us. Could Saddam have the I.Q. of Einstien? How is it that no matter what we do, we: 1. can't find him (but supposedly we know where he is hiding), 2. can't find the WMDs (they really are very HIDDEN or were most likely destroyed before operation Iraqi freedom). And if they were destroyed, how come our intelligence sources we not able to know about this. Doesn't the U.S. have the best technology in the world re:spying and all that stuff? We're talking about IRAQ for christ sakes who still use outdated means of artillery, weaponary, military planning and communications. Is Saddam this smart or are we just stupid? How could he have hoodwinked all of us all this time? Reading all this stuff about Saddam outsmarting us is making me sick.

Hes not the smartest person in the world, never has been, never will be. How do we know he isnt dead, you try to find enough DNA to identify someone sitting in a resuratn after a 200 pound bunker buster hits the place, it isnt easy. And of course he destoryed his WMDS you think he wants the U.S. finding them, fuck no.

Speaking of Saddam and Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), just because we cant find WMD (Like Saddam), doesnt prove they didnt exist!

We are the greatest country in the world, but even we can't know eveything that's going on in a country run by a murderous dictator.

I think they were destroyed, moved, hidden and dumped in the rivers. All of the above.

I don't know why they wouldn't use them instead of shooting them. That's a good question. I think time will tell, but that will not keep the people who think we had no right to go in happy. Maybe they were so well hidden and buried, and we struck so fast they didn't have time to get them out. Remember, they were hiding them from the Inspectors for years too.

But as many have said, even if we find none, the opression is over.

I enjoy how everyone who bashed the UN's lack of leadership for not finding the WMD, now accompany the US to the list of the mis-led. Well, he dumped them all in the river? I think they'd find more than a trace of the overwhelming stockpiles Bush and his militant cirlce of generals alluded to...eh? But lets not stomp on Saddam and his ingenius ways of avoiding the US finding his weaponry...let's just move to the next threat of Iran....huh? Al Quada isn't a threat anymore either...right? ...As we raise the terror level to orange? huh When you are led by clowns...you realize you are at the circus.

Undoubtably. But that was still one of the most uncomfortable things I had ever seen. I'm sure the dude's intentions were good, but they should just put that whole scene in the dictionary under "patronizing".

None of you have heard of the chemicals they found in those rivers?

Try watching something BESIDES BBC and listening to something BESIDES NPR.

Whoops, nice try. ALMOST a lie, but not quite.

Moe, you made me tread onto FoxNews.com just now to see if there was something to back that up, and even THEY only had a blurb from the first week of April that speaks only of "traces" of these chemicals in the rivers...and nothing more! See what you make me do??! I feel like I've just bathed in the raw sewage that essentially makes up those rivers since the Iraqis dump/leak/"forget" EVERYTHING in.

The man had/has the chemicals. Still waiting for the "go now, go hard, DAMN EVERYONE!" threat. This is so much more complicated than just "does he have them or not?" To tell the truth, I WANT conclusive evidence to be found, because I DO want us to be right. And I'm willing to be patient and wait. So will most of the world.
