I just want to take this time to thank everybody for their kind words and posts about what happened on the show and more recently my upcoming surgeryon July 8th.

It has meant so much to me to have so many of you in my life. I get IM's from people I don't know wishing me the best of luck. Can you guess how that makes you feel, it's amazing.

A big thanks to Ron and Fez, who without them and giving me my shot there would be no Billy Staples. I loved all the laughs we had together on and off the air. I hoped you enjoyed listening to me at times as much as I enjoyed entertaining you.

Finally, I just want all of you to know, those who called the show, talked to me, posted whatever, I read them all, and I thank you. It had helped me get through a crazy ass time.

The only thing missing is some of you girls putting out a little better to the chubby divorced guys on the show a little more...well maybe after the surgery

Billy, you rule! I think it needs to be said that however much the boys and the callers and the boardmembers and, well, everyone, busts your balls, we all love you. I've never liked anyone who can't take a joke because it's a big man who can take it in stride and you are the biggest.

Seriously, for that, I just want to say I respect you, and I wish you the best of luck tommorow, and in the future. I was pulling for you in your recovery, and I know you can get some real time under your belt if you can find the right meetings and the right time for you. I really appreciated bringing up recovery on the show; it reminded me of alot of the things I learned in early recovery and had since forgotten. But that's what recovery is: one drunk helping another. So even if you didn't get very far on this stint you helped those of us who are working it as well. Keep trying, budday, it works if you work it, and all those other cliches that only mean shit to us drunks.

And if it means anything, I'd put out for ya big guy.
