Simple enough, this is about Tattoos. I know most of you have em' sooooo what do you have?, where did you get them?(on your body), what do they mean? etc.


The word salvation spelt in small graffiti lettering on my lowerback with north stars on each end. Today i go for my 2nd, pisces sign(two fish swimming opposing directions) shaped by lyrics, chosen lyrics=Radiohead/A Reminder.

Both my arms are done with half sleeves, elbow up. My left arm is a bunch of motorcycle related stuff, my right is car related stuff. There are about ten individual tattoos on each arm with a bunch of filler. On my back I have some nose art from WWII airplanes. One of these days I want to get my forearms flamed out, but unfortunately I have more important things to spend my money these days.

That's N J D M around a large X. NJ going down and DM left to right.

I have 2. One on my left side in the bikini area and then one on my right booty cheek at the very top (it's not really on my butt, more like my low lower back but it's easier to explain). The one in front is a vine of daisies in the shape of a heart and the one in back is just a black design I like. I had the guy draw them both out for me first before I let him do it. Make sure it's something you'll love.

I like both of them but they need to be retouched. How often should that be done??

the letters BL under it(for my place in jersey)
a chinese symbol on my outter left ankle.. (means unity)
a bat with a bloody heart on the inner left ankle(i just liked it alot)
a skull on my outter right ankle(my squater friend did it with a needle and indian ink)
an anarchy sign on the back of my right ankle( i got in my living room with a rigged gun)
the word high on my chest(too confusing to explain)
a pegusis on my left shoulder(for my dad)
a tribal sun on my lower back(for my mom)
an angel and a devil on my rib cage(got on the show, thank creepy girl)
the red hot chilli peppers star on the small of my neck *(used to be my favorite band)

I have a gaelic cross on my left arm with the phrase "Only God Can Judge You Now" along with my best friends name who died when we were 14 years old. Surrounding that I have clouds and a sunburst. ON right arm have nickname in Old English as well as two theatrical makes (frowning and laughing) with the words "Laugh Now, Cry Later) around.

I have a band around my right arm that is the sheet music to a Van Halen song. I have a black cat above it on my shoulder in memory of my childhood pet that I got in kindergarten, and lived until I was 24. I have four aces on the right side of my chest, and the Stray Cats pompadour cat on my left (got it at Lone Wolf Tattoo in Belmore, where Brian Setzer grew up and got some of his ink). My wife is currently designing my next endeavor.

and i am about 100% sure that anyone on this board would get it. i wouldnt get it.

i really should become a cosmetic surgeon for "tattoo removal". because there are so many of yous that in 20 years are going to regret 3/4 o the stuff you have gotten and would want to get it removed.

If you've got kids, how about getting a tattoo on each of their birthdays?
What you do is stand them next to you and draw a horizontal line indicating each one's height along one side of you.
People used to do this on the inside of the kitchen doorframe.
Each little line is dated along with the kid's names.
This way, you have a permanent record charting the kid's growth over the years!

I got it a few years ago when I was 30 as a best man gift from my Bro-In-Law. He's got about a dozen. I loved that logo (and the band) since I was 12, so I was damn sure it was what I wanted.
The next will be the cartoon heads of The WHO from the "Who By Numbers" album, which was drawn by the late great John Entwistle.

why do you think people with big earloops will dig them less than people with tats will dig their tats? See you think they might just hide their tats, but of they dig them why wouldn't they show them? Same goes for earloops.

Personally I am not a fan of either, excessive tats and spikes and huge earloops. But to each their own.

i have 3 that i still like, and too lazy to post pics....celtic cross on my forearm, my wife's name for the wedding ring (classy) and my sons name...the rest are kinda silly now. got 1 half sleeve to cover up some shitty tribal i got when i was 16, then got another to match.

i think people make terrible decisions as far as tats go. white people getting tribals was popular, then asian style shit, that too is a bad choice (i HAVE a koi pond, i wouldnt get a fish tattooed on me REGARDLESS of what silly ass story you think it represents) the new hot one is that polynesian style tat. i went to a convention a few years back and some kid was getting this done old school 1 needle with some wooden tools (no gun) and visually it looks awesome, but much like tribal you dont belong to a tribe, who do you think you are getting that done?

I don't regret any of mine, but I'm purposely....and required to do so because of financial reasons......taking my time getting tattooed. Lots of my friends have really awesome sleeves done, but they're almost out of room and there only in their 20's still for the most part. i want to continue to get tattooed for a while, so I'm not trying to get everything i want too quickly. Those ideas can also change over time too, so I just want to make really certain I've put a lot of thought into what I'm getting done. Not that there has to be some prophetic, soul searching meaning behind everything I get......I just want to make sure I'd be comfortable with whatever it is I'm getting done being on me forever.

That's why those Miami Ink shows suck so bad.....every single person that's on that show comes in and goes through that whole story again and again and again.......It would be great if they did a show where its just people working on an awesome sleeve, or giant back piece that was just Star Wars or something.....and the guy is just like, "well I really dig star wars, so....this is happening" and he's got Vader and a giant Death Star somewhere.
