I really hate going to the movie theater

I went to see Terminator 3 last night. The movie was indeed great and I know that nothing beats a theater experience for a movie like that, but I have too many problems with going to the theater. For example- Why can't these idiots turn off their cell phones? They only have about 100 ads and warnings that take place before the movie begins about turning them off. But these jackasses don't think that it pertains to them. And I really hate when people have to repeat a funny line right after it is said. And what the hell is with clapping after a good scene or at the end of the movie??? This is not a play. The actors can't hear you and they are not taking bows or curtain calls. Damn, I'm getting old.

Seriously. People become the biggest douches when they go into a movie theater. I saw T3 last Saturday and there was one dude in the theater that just clapped at every scene. Arnold would just stand and you would hear ::clap clap clap::. Everyone wanted to kill that guy. That beginning action scene (you guys know. the huge one with the truck. i wont say anymore because it would lead to possible spoilers) the guy must've clapped at least 50 times. no exaggeration. its such a mood-kill. and, of course, he had a cell phone too. i love going to the movies and seeing someone's cell screen light up in the corner of my eye. the blue light just goes with the whole idea of trying to STARE AT A FUCKIN' THEATER SCREEN WITHOUT ANY DISTRACTIONS. deek.

Look, let's just remember. The movie theater isn't the problem, other people are the problem, as is always the case with any problem.

I swear to god, the world of the movie "The Omega Man" is my ideal world, sans vampires. Even taking into account the vampires, I consider it more attractive than this one.

To many scetchy old men in raincoats shaking the seats. The seats are almost always sticky whith some white, salty tasting substance. And sometimes the cops even come in to break it up.

I hardly ever go to the movies, and when I go, I make sure I never have to pay (hahaa!) What really sucks is when I have to sit on the gay little seats with the sticky floor and the little 5 year old kicking my seat who was brought by his grandfather who didnt know what "R" meant.

I have yet to buy a laser pointer, but if I do, it'd be really funny to point it on the nipple of every female character in the movie.

I DID go to a really nice theater with the butt-to-head reclining seats that are rasied with the huge 30ft screen. I dont remember what the theater was, but it was really nice.

I recommend you buy a projecter, make a small room in your basement, buy a home theater system, and bootleg all the movies.

i agree, people are indeed stupid, i like to avoid them when i go to a public place, thats why its better to go see a movie at all kinds of crazy am hours. no one is there and there is more room to sit. and a comment on all the high prices, i bring a bottle of water and dont buy any snacks because 1 theyre disgusting and 2 theyre waaaaaay over priced.

i never go see a movie when it first opens, usually wait one or two weeks. By then most of the assholes have moved onto the next big release, lots more room available.

That is indeed a good point. We all KNOW movies, unless they bomb will be in the theatres for at least 2-3 weeks, so just wait.
