OnA are banned from broadcasting over Infinity airwaves, which means no going in studio, and trying to keep them far from the company and its shows as possible. Although a few times Anthony has gone on the air, just under the radar of course. Listen hard you may hear him one day.

R&F aren't even allowed to mention O&A, and pretty much blow past any caller that does a shout out to Opie and Anthony.

They are the only show on JFK, by the way, that can't mention them, which (no matter what I think about O&A) is annoying and hypocritical.

It comes from much higher than Mike "Don" SOURCE, who has been in R&F's camp since the big switch last November. It's Alan that made it clear that when they came to DC that they cut as much of the negative as possible, and you don't get much more negative here in DC than Opie and Anthony.

For the record, when D&M or Stern mention Opie and Anthony, it's 90% reaction to some caller trying to bust balls. O&A are as relavant to most listeners as The Greaseman (someone else beloved by 12 year olds).

I know you were talking about Don, that's why I put his name in quotes.

* Don is no longer the PD
* He hasn't been PD in over a year; since before the O&A were fired by Infinity
* If he had pull The Sports Junkies would still be at WJFK in the afternoons

D&M and R&F will never be as intertwined as R&F were with O&A, but D&M are for what's best for the station, and they have said repeatedly that Ron and Fez are what's best for WJFK.

They won't do fake cross-overs, but all four hosts are professional and they will not throw each other under the bus.

Hell, you know it's a different era when Ron says (more tha once) good things about Howard Stern - by name!
