No real info yet but MSNBC and FOX News are reporting shots have been fired and atleast 2 cops have been hit either in or around City Hall. With so many news stations in the area it'll be a matter of minutes before cameras are on the scene.

Hey listen, I just reported on the eye witness acount of the event. But I did fuck up in the title of this thread, they havnt said the cops have been killed yet, just that they were shot and now theyre saying someone on the balcony was shooting onto the street or sidewalk

Alright they havnt caught the guy yet and theyre shutting down the Brooklyn Bridge

WABC has the live shot from above. Security is unreal down there now.

NEW YORK -- A dozen gunshots rattled across the second floor of City Hall on Wednesday afternoon, reportedly injuring two people inside the building in lower Manhattan.

The shots, fired shortly after 2 p.m., sent reporters in the press room diving for cover beneath their desks. Mayor Michael Bloomberg was in his office but was not harmed, said his spokesman, Edward Skyler.

Loud screaming echoed through City Hall as the gunfire began, and continued for about three minutes.


Police officers, including some in riot gear, were seen running across the plaza in front of the building once the shooting stopped. It was not immediately known if the shooter was captured.

The City Council was holding a meeting on Wednesday, but it was unclear if the shooting was related to the session.

A witness, Tom Curry, said a man on the second-floor balcony pulled a handgun and began firing across at a second man. Curry, an attorney for the City Council, had no further details.

The entrances and exits to the building were sealed off, and a stretcher was rushed inside by police in flak jackets.-WNBC 4

Yep, that's what I'm watching. They're reporting that AP is saying that the second victim was the shooter, who was shot by an undercover police officer, and has just died.

And they're also reporting that the shooter could have possibly gotten with WITH Davis' Entourage, who might have bypassed Security.
They are also reporting that the shooter was a political opponent of Davis.

Heres what I think happened. Davis has an altercation with this other guy and shoots him. Security then shoots Davis. We'll find out if Bloomberg has anything to add to this at this press conference coming up.
