I remember seeing a shitload of people logged in back around August 22nd and 23rd of the year 2002. I cant seem to remember what would trigger so many people to visit the site.

During the huge WNEW debacule there had to be at least 150+ for like 3 days straight. I remember it was LAGGY AS FUCK.

That's the time I remember the most also. It was for the Battle of the Bands. Everyone had to become a member to vote so it was flooded with people who were on for 3 days and then left. That's when we hit 10,000 members I think.
