sometimes i hate being the oldest

i am the oldest child in my family which means that i get to see all the lil tykes grow up. unfortunately they all grow up to be waaaaaaaaaaay taller than me. its just weird that my baby brother is now 14 years old and just growing into a very decent young man. every time i look at my brothers and my cousins it makes me feel all old. i always yell at them that theyre not allowed to grow anymore, but it's not working.

I know how you feel Amy. I have older cousin's but I have tons of little ones and a little bro and sis. I am 10 years older than them so I will forever picture my brother and sister as a 7 year olds following me around. She will be 16 this year and he's 14 so it's REALLY weird to talk about teenager stuff with them and I catch myself going into 'Mom' mode and lecturing them.

Plus, they had things SO much easier than me. Don't even get me started on that!

I'm the oldest and 15 years older than my youngest brother. I went into the service when I was 18 and he was 3 then. I don't really know him...I'm like the uncle that no one talks about!!!!

I'm the youngest and i think it's safe to say that my brothers had it alot easier than i did in certain aspects.

i am the youngest and the only girl in the family so i am supposed to set some sort of example in regards to my age and sex.

BUT

Even though they had it alot easier when they were my age, i get away with more shit then they ever did.

i'm the youngest of 3, and yet im already the tallest out of all the siblings. I'm the only boy, and my eldest sis is 16 years older than I am. Which is funny, cuz I am 16 years old. so like...my eldest sis is currently twice my age.

and yet the family calls me her "twin" or "clone" in a sense, cuz both of us act the same and both of us are a pain in the ass.

I'm an only child so I don't have to worry about my siblings' height. BUT, what is going to be weird as hell is in a few years my children are going to no doubt be taller than me.

I am only 5'3" but their father is 6'6". My 6 year old son is already more than 2/3 my height, he stands about two inches shorter than my shouder. My 4 year old daughter is only one inch shorter than my son, she may end up taller than him! I have a feeling that before they even hit puberty I will be looking up to yell at them.
