This has to be the WEAKEST excuse EVER. But I just found myself using it. I was scheduled to go over to my buddy's house to help him move. He lives with his mother and other brother his grandma's house, but is moving out into an apartment with his girlfriend.

So I set the alarm for 10AM. It is now 12:30, and we've lost precious time. We've going to have to refinish his furniture next week thanks to this.

Now I KNOW this is a weak excuse. Alarms are all digital these days. It's not like the power went out. And it's not like it's a wind up clock where something could go wrong in the mechanism. So what could have happened?!?! I slid the little $elector from OFF to ON last night before I went to sleep, and I am pretty good with getting up if I have an appointment or promise to keep. But the only logical conclusion I can come to is I did something to the clock as I woke up to the alarm or something.

Weak. Fuckin' weak.

My clock has a "Sleep" and a "Snooze". Whenever I accidently hit that "Sleep" - I'm screwed because that is exaclty what I do.... sleep.

I don't even know what "Sleep" does. Anyone?

This happens to Jon all the time. Saturday mornings I set the alarm for him at 9am so he can get up for kung fu, but he never hears it. it'll ring for a good 2-3 minutes, and i usually have to punch him to wake him up. now if he doesnt hear the alarm, i just go back to sleep. too damn bad for him.

Snoogs, I do the same thing. And Moe, I know how awful using that excuse is. I missed TWO tests (one a final) in college because I turn my alarm clock off in my sleep.

Once that happened I moved it across the room so I would have to get up and walk to turn it off, but I STILL do it sometimes. Try explaining it to your boss and not just your friend. Ugh.

moe there is another possible reason. you could have accidentally set the alarm for pm instead of am. that mistake has fucked me over more times than i want to admit.

Sleep sets it so that the radio turns off after a certain amount of time. It's for people who like to fall asleep to the radio.

Maybe you set your alarm for 10 PM and not 10 AM. I did that a couple times during the school year.

If I have to get up for something important I set my alarm clock AND my television and stereo timers at the same time and put the remotes on the other side of the room. That'll get your ass up fast!

I think you're all a bunch of friggin retards. It's an alarm clock, not a nuclear reactor. It's pretty easy to operate/use. The sad thing is that you freaks are allowed to operate cars and put others at risk.

First of all, it's an innocent mistake to mix up AM and PM. Other than that none of us have a problem USING the damn alarm clock, it's waking up that's the problem so shut the fuck up.

question is when you became coherent was it in the on or off position. if it was off you probably were so tired that you woke to the alarm, turned it off, and for that split second in your mind you convinced yourself you would get up in 5 minutes but instead went back to sleep...

i tell ya, you saved yourself alot of sweating... it's fucking hot out there, so take off all your clothes...

Good question. Since I was due at his house at like 10 and got up at 12, he had to do something now that I had made him wait around. So I signed on quick to rub out a batch of that sweet baby batter to some online porn. After that, I signed on here to tell my tale.
