Come on NY we need to do a better job of representing. Only one person from NY made it to the WJFK Black-Out Challenge Grid. This has to make the boys feel like NY is not paying attention anymore.
Let's try to step up our participation with the show. We might even be able to jump start a "Comedy Pyramid".

El Jeffe chose the participants. It had nothing to do with New York "representing" or not. This is a DC show and sponsors are paying money to attract DC listeners. This is why when you wrote in for the contest you had to tell them where you live. <b>Name and Town</b> The Staten Island entry was thrown in as a bone to the NY listeners. It sucks but all the 90' antennas don't have any affect on the ratings or ad rates.

How do you get that?

Ultimately, they have to try and get ratings, and syndication underground doesn't get them that. Any radio professional would smartly focus on trying to expand the local audience they have so it grows to a point where they CAN broadcast in other cities. They can't expand ratings and make money on good intentions.

And besides, they still have plenty of NY friends on the show, which is beyond cool. Did you forget all of them?

I will say this much in response to the topic. When we have/had events in New York how many people showed up. Represent? I do know that at least six of us made the drive down to the DC area b/c we wanted to do just that. And that's the whole idea of Representing (a few being there on behalf of everyone)

And about the DC callers. Learn how to tell an f'ing story that doesn't suck. Leave out mundane details and get to the goddamn point. Jesus, I sit here and cringe for Ron and Fez to have to listen to your whole story knowing that they just wanna hang up. This does not apply to everyone but damn no wonder comedy pyramids died down there. There is no comedy in a 2 minute story with no ending. They should've just started doing boring pyramids. Many of you would be going to the big ass prize closet.

It says a lot about them that the show still regularly uses their New York friends (there have been no feelers to find a DC based movie reviewer, for example), as it says about the loyality of the New York fans.

The loyalty of listeners to this show is uncanny. It does help that both ron and fez make themselves so available to everyone who has an interest in thier show. Not only that, they are such great guys and always make time for thier buddies. In other words they earn our loyalty and deserve it.

Ron and Fez care about all of their listeners in NY, DC, and everywhere else in the country. Why do you think they still let NY callers on the show? They loved having everyone down from NY for Dave and Busters and the following week in the studio.

The boys have not given up with the idea of being back on in NY. It is going to take time. Infinity is going through some shake ups. The boys will be back in NY plus other cities across the nation.

So "Left in NY", if you don't like them anymore don't listen. Go turn on BLINK and listen to Britney or Christina.

Listen, I KNOW R&F has NOT forgotten about NY. Also I truely feel NY has done a great job trying to represent on the phones, through emails, and instant feedbacks. But actually being in studio is difficult. I dont know too many people that can up and head out to DC for 4 hours.

Only when the show was on live overnights and then finally again last October. When we were on delay we couldn't get anything and most of our calls were taken out by the screeners. Anyone showing up for events did it on their own. Nobody's not allowing the NYC people into events.
