New Line is doing a limited theatrical run of the two films' extended versions in the weeks before "Return of the King" is released. This will culminate in a three film marathon the day before the release of "Return" ending with an 11 O' CLock showing of said film.

Pretty cool shit, I never got the chance to see "FOTR" extended version in the theatres. It is a better film than the origignal release cut, and I would love to see it on teh big screen. I can only assume that the extended version of "Towers" will also knock your socks off, so a theatre version of that would be great to see as well.

I think this is the first time the extended version is going to be played in the theatres. The "Fellowship" extended version was a lot better than the other one; I'm interested in seeing what they do with an extended "Towers."

I'm trying to resist going to see it down here at the Cinema and Draft House - another wasted 3 1/2 hours with hobbits??

I would be more interested if they did all three of them in Imax format, especially since the third version (I can assume) won't be the "extended version.

I only saw the regular fellowship and saw the extended and there were some good extended parts, but since ive seen it in extended so many times i cant remember what parts are extended. I know that one is gandalf talking about gollum but thats all.
