As someone that's not a Yankee fan, I agree that Joe Torre's probably got the easiest job in the world(if he doesn't deal with Steinbrenner) and anyone could probably do it.

However, he's not the Yankee personality that I'd like to take down a few notches. My vote goes to Steinbrenner.

Salaries are all out of whack and marginal baseball players are being overpaid by teams just so they can try and fail to compete with Steinbrenner. He thinks he's the cock of the walk and starts pushing people around when the Yankees dare fall into a slump.

Also, this whole 'I'm an American Patriot' thing he's got going with the stuff before the game and that gag-inducing "God Bless America" thing in the 7th inning stretch makes me ill. It reeks of phoniness. I like America and I'm proud to be an American but I don't act all phony about it like Steinbrenner does. Bring back "Take me out to the Ballgame."

man, i just think you're really wrong, I just don't understancd what could get you so mad at Joe Buck. He may be the best announcer on tv, in any sport (his baseball announcing, not football). He at least seems to be the least biased (the cards aren't good so there's nothing to worry about there) and he's actually funny occasionally. He carried doucho and Boone all series.
