You need to be content with what you have. The key to unhappiness is assuming that everyone else is having a grand old time while your life sucks.

I always hated that expression "get a life." I swear to God, I was feeling a little down after the Hard Rock on Friday. It was a good time, but it didn't live up to the grand expectations that I built up in my mind over the past few weeks.

So Friday night I had a dream that I had cancer. When I woke up Saturday morning I was so relieved that it was just a dream.

Well, I wasn't trying to be a rock critic. The band was great, and I wish I could have stayed longer. I'm certainly not critcizing Ron & Fez or the band or anyone for that matter. What I'm saying is that sometimes we have these grand expectations, this notion that it takes a big event like a party or a concert to make life worthwhile. In the final analysis you have to make yourself happy.

So I'm not evaluating anything or anybody.

Well I had a great time. I actually expected to NOT have that great a time because I was going alone and was afraid people wouldn't want to meet me.

Just to give you an example of what I mean when it comes to expectations: the event is advertsied as a live broadcast. So I get there early (7:00) and was told that it's a private party. Well, the waitress probably didn't know what the fuck she was talking about, but what am I going to do, argue? Tell her she is wrong? Ask for the manager and demand to see Ron & Fez?

So I left, and when I came back later the broadcast was open to everyone, so I have no idea if it was private early on or if the waitress didn't know what the fuck she was talking about.

So I'm not whining, I'm just telling it like it is...you envision this live broadcast, and some dumbass waitress fucks it up for you.
