One year I got my nephew a race car set. I was certain that he'd like it. I saw it in one store and didn't get it. Later on as I holiday shopped I thought about it some more and decided I'd get it for him. I went back and the thing was gone. I went to 5 stores before I found it in Caldors (remember them?). I got it home all proud and wapped it up.

Come Christmas morning, he opened it..HE HATED IT. The little brat just pushed it aside and opened his other toys and never played with it. I felt bad because at that point I thought I had a good read on him and what he liked.

Sometimes on the radio I'll hear a commercial for a "Crossword puzzle of the month club" where you have someone get crossword puzzles every month through the mail. I always thought that was very cheesy as a gift though.

What's the worst gift, or flop gift you've given that didn't go the way you thought it would?

I once gave Christmas cards with scratch off lottery tickets inside to my sister and brothers.....and they hated it, except for one brother who scratched off a $100 winner.

Thanks for the idea, AJ! And to think, I was gonna give him a new car! Fuck that shit! It's Stuffin' Time!!! Come on, everybody! Sing with me! (In the tune of "Let It Be"): Stuffin' Time, Stuffin' Ti-ime, SSStuffin' Time, oh Stuffin' Time, Whisper Words of Wisdom, Stuffin' Time. Oh boy! Wasn't that great everyone? We should sing together every day!.......What? What do you mean you weren't singing?! You sons of stitches!!! I'll get you for this!!! And don't forget it!!! No one messes with East Side Dave and I mean no one!! Except of course my kindegarten principal Mr. Peel who would force us at gunpoint to play hop-scotch in bathing suits! Now that's what I call messin' with ya, tic-tac, that's what I call messin' with ya! Yeeeeeeehhhhaaawww!

I gave my parents a 1 year old "puppy" (Cassie) which I adopted from the pound. I just ignored the sign that said, "spiteful." Bad enough she is neurotic and hates everyone but me and my mother (she tolerates my father, but hey- so do I). Well one day, Cassie got angry at my parents for leaving her home alone for a whole day (insert stupid joke here), and decided to rip all of the labels off the pillows in the den and chew up all of the papers on the kitchen table. The only thing that was left OK was my pile of books and notebooks for college. Oh yeah-- and there was this one time when our little Cassie shit in the bathtub. I love Cassie, but my parents, well let's just say, never want a live gift again.

ps Did I forget to mention that she bit two of my girl friend's in the ass? Classic!

About 5 years ago, Bobby P. asked for a Walkman for Christmas so he could listen to WNEW while working. I really wanted to get him the best one I could find. Being a girl that knows virtually nothing about electronics, I was somehow under the impression that Radio Shack was an excellent place to purchase the highest quality products. I bought him what I thought was a very nice Walkman and was quite proud of the job I'd done. He hated it. He admitted shortly after Christmas that it sucked and wondered how I could possibly not know that Radio Shack has the cheapest crap around. It didn't even come with headphones. He still brings it up to this day. I guess we're even for our first Christmas when he bought me a woven leather bracelet with a silver Texan-style engraveable plate on it.

Cool, Now they have at least one DVD sold. I might do the same. Now their sales have doubled. And they said the movie was a failure!

Okay, I've never named a star after someone, but that has to be one of the worst gifts out there.

The first best buy I went to was sold out and I got the last copy at the second one I went to. I think it's going to do better on DVD just because people won't have to suffer the humiliation of walking out of the theater it was playing in.

I used to give and still do sometimes give gag gifts. I always wrap things in Black Santa Claus wrapping paper just to throw people off. it has officially become my trademark. I almost switched t Hannukkah paper this year. I still may.

Worst gift this year is my Christsmas Card. Sorry.

Worst gift in the past has been either pigs feet or tripe.

Radio Shack? I hate that place. I dont even know why they are still in buisness. I go there as an absolute last resort, buying anything there is so uncomfortable.

I once gave my father a Kenny Rogers album for Christmas, he doesnt even like him!
