Like you care.

Anyway, after a lackluster 2003 which was probably one of my worst years yet, I am resolving to make 2004 my year. By this time next year I hope to be somewhat happy with my life and my career choices. I know I have talent and I think I am somewhat hot and I stopped picking my nose in public and things seem to be looking up. I am still working on the random scratching in public but my therapist is helping me get over that. Next week at the race track ansd then the retirement home should work (crosses fingers).

Next year God willing I will:

Try like hell to have some kind of a job witin the animation industry. Even if it is just tracing or storyboarding something WILL happen. I gotta be more of a pusher with my art. I do so well pushing the drugs.

Hopefully the Daily News thing comes through.

<STRIKE>I am going to go on a date.</STRIKE>

Kiss a girl. 3 years is too long to wait.

Sleep with a girl. See above.

Lose that weight and get in shape which I started three weeks ago.

I guess you could put this in the first one but I need to draw and animate stuff more. My portfolio is really thin and so is my website content. My styles have changed in the past couple years and I need to reflect that.

Make some new friends.

Get out more and be social. I need to stop hiding.

Now hopefully I can come back here this time next year and feel as if I have accomplished something.

That is all.

Oh, I am gonna stop posting too. Seems the IN thing to do.

I am all for seeing the "Year of the Fluff" listed next to 2004 on those Chinese food place mats. Good luck, my friend.

i hope to lose 10-20lbs, firm up, cut down on the 'over stuffing' myself. i feel like shit...

i'm gonna call the local rec dept tomorrow and sign up for the mens basketball league they have at the High School...

i will be so winded for the first few weeks but hope to be productive after that. it's once a week but i hope it also motivates me to keep in better shape. i like to be competetive.

I beg to disagree with you about 2003 being lackluster for ya. Your talent was discovered, or at least presented to and appreciated by, RonFez.net and Ron and Fez themselves! You were a guest on their show! You have made many friends on this here board. That is good stuff! Now, as for the not getting laid in 3 years, ya cant blame that on 2003. Although I think 2003 was pretty good for the fluffenator, I wish you 1, 000, 000 times more health, happiness and vajeen in 2004!!!! SeeYuh!

So does that throw the whole thing out of whack? As far as i know the crazy scientist friend I have told me to go with this and then I would someday find a Sports Almanac and then be able to hand that on to someone whom I have not even met yet to carry on the winning tradition.

Not nutty at all and I was totally expectng a response in here somewhere. I DO have to be very willing but I also have the faith that I believe will carry me through. I am nutty like that but it keeps me grounded and sane. :p

I was also really hoping to see everyone elses Reslolutions in here to. I have never been a big believer in Resolutions because so many wait until January first to quit that smoking or lose that weight or do whatever. I was always in the thinking mode of if you have the inkling to do it, DO IT! Time and date should be of no factor.

For instance, I decided to quit smoking back at the end of August cause I feel it was the right healthy decision. I now have the occasional cigarette with a beer but even THAT is once in a great while. Not sur eif that constitutes still smoking or not since I am technically only having one or two smokes a month. Meh, who knows.

Year of the Fluff

Hey! I thought this was the "Year Of the Cat".

Anybuddy 'member that song, "The Year Of the Cat"?
Al Stewart, wasn't it?

"Year Of the Cat"?

Remember how it goes?

something like:

"And the drumbeats strange while the night remains
There's a hidden door she leads you to
Don't bother asking which die-rection
Like a river running through
The year of the caaaaat..."

Sorry, I just felt like being cruel. Hope it doesn't stay in your head all day or anything...

" and they ask me why I drink"

Fluff, have you made a website to host your stuff? I don't know shit about animation but I know a bit about Political cartoons. The paper I write for [have a story coming out next couple days, anyway...] is the Asbury Park Press.

Steve Breen was the cartoonist; and in my opinion, in political cartooning it's more What is drawn and said as opposed to How.

Anyway Steve's doing his cartoon thing at the Press, he's actually a Paginator, he makes up freaking page numbers by computers for the different editions, starts small with the Press, right, he gets a cartoon in once, then twice, then once a week, and then fucking lightning strikes: He wins the God Damned for Real Pulitzer Prize in 1998.

The Press went batshit. No One had any idea whatsoever. Now? He's a national. I open up the USA Today, or the NY Times, and boom, there's the guy I knew, just a 'cartoonist' ya know?

Here forget about my stupid words:

NJ Cartoonist wins Pulitzer Prize (http://www.injersey.com/headline/results/h_result.pl?id=70629)

Steve Breen and the Asbury Park Press (http://www.injersey.com/breen/)

Fluff, have you made a website to host your stuff?

The first one that I had up I feel was a huge failure cause a 56K connection couldn't even access the first page though.

I have a new one in the works which the few priveledged I have shown have given oohs and ahhs and a couple neatos too so I think I will go with it. I hope to launch it in the New Year and hopefully will be able to whore it with the flying penises and all. The real test will be to see if at least my Grandparents can access it on their crappy eMachines computer with 44K connection. If they can get it I know others with cable connections will be able to see it.

Political Cartooning has always interested me. Never did anything though. I am currently going the Sports route as I did a rather HUGE Pro Eagles/Anti Cowboys spread intenedt o be a wraparound for the Daily News. The radio hosts I showed were liking it and it got to the paper too later. As a result like I mentioned above something sems to be brewing after football is over and I may be doing some stuff for the local Philly teams. Keeping my fingers crossed on that one!

Woohooo; 52F means the Old New Balance's came out, were dusted off, and 2.2 miles done. Not bad for the first run this century.

Everyone start walking/joggong/running; even if you smoke like I do, just try not to do both simultaneously.

Either get a long term contract assignment, or a permanent job somewhere - too much of 2003 was spent looking for work, wasting my time at work I didn't enjoy and sitting on my ass

Quit all co-dependent relationships with insane women

Don't eat fast food

Finish my novel (58.000 words done now - closing in on the final stretch)

Finish my movie (went from 10 hours of raw footage to a 3 hour cut; still need to edit it down to an hour - needs to be done by summer)

Go back to Cancun - I have friends who live there, and the invitation is always open, however they may be moving back to the states soon, so I need to take advantage of that again.

Put money back in my retirement fund that I gutted last spring after getting laid off; I ended up paying off all of my debt, and have made a lot of strides in cleaning up the credit report.

Film and edit the last episodes of a public access television series I've been associated with for almost 10 years now; even though it's still a fun show, and we're now seen on cable stations in Virginia, North Carolina, New Jersey, Ohio, Illinois and California, the goal was always to get something done more here in the DC area, and the host of the show just doesn't have the interest or desire to do what it will take, so we will finish it off, and let it just be repeated for the next 10 years.

That's about it - the weight and insane women are really the most important right now, though - the rest are hold overs from 2003.

For those keeping track of my wonderfully exciting life:

I am going to go on a date.

One down. I am actually quite excited about this and nervous as hell at the same time. I met her through eHarmony which seems to have paid off as I have gotten a good catch I think. As well as she has gotten a good catch too! I got a pink, peach and yellow rose and hope that will not be too excessive. I would hate to scare her off. Actually, it became more scaryy for me because I got a haircut, washed my car, bought some NICE clothes for once and we are going out for Thai. Not trying to gloat too much here but I have really been looking forward to something like this for some time and just wanted to share it with thos eo you I consider friends on here. I was hoping this won't turn into a she likes me, she doesn't like me teenage soap opera. Wish me luck!

Hopefully some of my other esolutions will come to pass as well. For instance, I should have a new website up in a bout a week.

Thank you AJ my friend. Come to think of it, I will be haunting the DC area in a few weeks and I would love to try and get together with all you DC crazies down there. I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Jafter and Reed but there are so many other holes to fill. Is there any events going on down there anytime in the next month or so?

Sorry, I can't resist. I can help you with a few of your items, if you want an early start. I'm actually promoting a show in Baltimore on December 30th. It's pretty much all hardcore, all DC/MD/VA. PM me if you want more details.

Come down, be social, make some new friends. I'll buy you a Pabst or a Natty Boh.

Also, at the beginning of last year I declared 2004 the year of Scheduled Beating, just a few days later 2 members of the band promptly suffered serious injuries to their hands (I think the gods were punishing me). So i'm never making any declarations, resolutions, or anything relating to specific years ever again.
