I switch fish

There is this women in my office (Wanda) that was given a Betta fish by a departing worker that she has grown attached to, she calls him Fred. In the past year, she has had 2 close deaths in her family. Her sister died in June and she rushed to Florida for the funeral, and while she was there, I took care of her fish, and found him dead one day. I went to the store during lunch and replaced him with a duplicate, because shes so emotional that she would have been crushed if she returned and found her beloved Fred dead. The whole office knew what I did, and agreed it was best for her and never told her and she never suspected. Then her mother died September and she went to the funeral and thank God nothing happened to Fred (2). But recently, Fred (2) has been acting funny and showing signs of impending death, and I changed his water and told her its normal for them (which I know its not) and shes very fearfull and devestated that hes about to die. So, tonite after work, I go to the pet store and buy another duplicate and go back to work and replace Fred (2) with Fred (3) and I take Fred(2) home with me to see if he can live the night (he dies within an hour of me getting home). So now, at work right now, is a new fish that Wanda will think made a miraculous recovery over night. I dont want this woman to have anymore grief if I can do something about it, and at $3 a pop, its not a big hit or anything, and she thinks she has the Iron Man of Betta fish. Am I doing a good thing?

Everyone knows that she is extremely emotional, that shed burst out crying if she found it belly up. Im not sure what she would say if she ever found out I switched it. I have 2 at home, and one at work on my desk, and the ones I have at home are maybe 2 years old, not sure how long they live, but the second one I bought looks like it only lasted 6 months.

It went off pretty good, she asked me if I switched it, because this new guy was doing back flips out of his tank practically! I lied and told her I just used the stuff I mentioned above. She said she wouldnt be mad if I told her, but would cry hysterically, so I opted to fib. Fred lives!!
