Now more than ever all you hear in the news is about terrorism . Ever wondered why?

Ever hear of 9/11?

It's pretty obvious. We're now much more aware of what terrorism can do, and that we're vulnerable, so it's a more upfront concern.

now more than ever ,

About every magazine you pick up tells the public
about all our new devices to stop it with detailed pictures and synopsis.

For example I am an Importer of childrens apparel
today i read an article from the U.S.News and World Report magazine, about Port security.
In the article there is a big detailed picture of the high tech machine that checks for radio activity for containers brought into the ports .

That's great for me to know but not for a terrorist how has easy acces to get that.

Get the picture?

How?

The WTC wasn't a "secret location."

Hijacking a plane and using it as they did is hardly "classified information."

I'm not sure what you're grasping at here. The information you're discussing is public information. It's not as if our media had to "expose" them. The information is available for essentially anyone.

So if you have issue with this, your target should be the government for not having tighter control, not the media relaying public information.

And trust me, we would be lucky if we had to fight against terrorists who drew up their main attack plans from information in the American media.

Shit, the next thing you know Al Queda might pull something in the NYC Transit System because they read of a mugging that took place on the Hunts Point Subway platform!!! "Hey look Abdullah, they got trains that travel underground....shit, let's bomb that!!!"

It's not censorship because people can't come here and post/say whatever they want in the first place.

There used to be zero channels dedicated to News. Now there are many. And as others may have mentioned, an event occurred on a september day you may wish to look into.

Being aware of possible ways a terrorist can attack us and letting people know about it also helps to use the public of as the eyes and ears of any anti-terror measures we have. Al Queda must have been studying archetecture after its first faild attack to topple the building; the basement was the strongest point, it was weaker a few hundered feet from the top, using the top floors as a ram to compress the lower floors. It was their methods that acheived that aim that the public needed to be aware of, but now that we are, we will be more vigilant. My guess is that they will likely use a "dirty bomb" against us at some point, particularly where alot of people will congregate. How one can be made has been all over the news, does this give them the recipie? Not necessarily. Its been know how one could be made, and as we talk about it, lets say that we "give them the idea", Id be suprised if the government wasnt keeping an eye on ceritain things that indicate one is going to be depolyed. For example, they talk about how we have guys out walking around with radiation detectors, scanning neighborhoods for radiation. If you were a terrorist, and knew you had a container of radioactive material, youd be smart to shield it from a detector or keep it moving to throw off the "scent" right? So, the government will be vigilant or a moving source of radiation (there are radiation detectors behind the signs on roadways) and they also have cameras on roadways that can snap pictures of cars. As a car passes one detector, it sends a signal, snaps a pic. As that car passes another detector, another pic is snapped and so on until through the process of elimination, the target car is singled out and they swoop down on it. This is one example, theres likely many others that they DONT tell us about that they are aware of. They only let us know about the stuff that they figure we can help them with, and Im sure alot of thought goes into it what they decide to "leak". They follow the direction of the data they choose to let us know about, and see where that data flows. Its almost scary how smart they can be. But its the "wild card" that we all have to worry about, thats the thing that they didnt expect, and thats why you and I should make a leap and just keep our eyes open.
