View Full Version : Al Dukes still on WNEW?

I may be weeks off on this and it has been mentioned but whatever. Well I was flipping radio stations at around 5:47AM and I hear his infamous monotone voice talking with whatever female morning host they have about The Simple Life Reunion. She referred to him as "Cynical Al." I did have a flashback of the good ole Ron and Fez shows though which is a good thing. I sooo miss Ron and Fez in New York.
Now are you telling me that Al Dukes survived the WNEW bomb? Are you kidding me?

He's still there. I called the warm line the other day just to see who answered and it was him. Yeah. I'm bored.

Yeah he's still there, last i was there, was when R+F were literally the only people on the floor...
[for DC-ers, this isnt exagerration. Ron and Fez, after the Station Melted-Down, all the firings, while in limbo... Ron and Fez were, for a while, the Only live show coming from that entire station. And with everyone fired, literally like the hotel in the Shining. So quiet...]
...except for Earl and Dukes and a couple others, who i'd see walking around. Yep more then one is still blinkin I hear, even if it aint blink. ugh.

WNEW going down the tubes so quickly was one of the quickest implosions in history.
They made Dio-Sabbath feel better about themselves.

Why the hell doesn't Al have his own show? This guy deserves one. I bet it'd draw better ratings than anything else.

There's a few of us left.
Plus, the new people are cool, too. Lynn Hoffman, who's here in the mornings (the lady you heard with Al) co-hosts with Eddie Trunk on VH1.
