Piracy commercial

I just saw a comercial trying to stop people from downloading songs/videos off the internet. the point of the commercial was there are alot more people involved in making the movies/songs aside from the band/actors and they need to sell the product in order to pay these people so they can make a living. while i'm all for people making money and having jobs....don't charge me $10 a movie or $20 a DVD and maybe i would buy these things...all of their consumers need money also to make a living and paying that kind of money doesn't help us out. the commercial just comes off the wrong way to me. anyone else see it.

i saw that one this past saturday. i thought they went about it the wrong way also. It was like they were trying just to guilt people into things. Trying to make it look like this guy is going to have to eat left over catfood if people download shit.

i described it poorly and now don't remember exactly who was in the commercial...but it is what you're talking about. they showed a bunch of people 'behind the scenes' and try to guilt you out of downloading the stuff and paying our money to support them personally.

funny, growing up, my dad would ask "can you download this for me somewhere?" Guess my parents liked encouraging my criminal behavior.

Thats exactly why they are so dumb. The tobacco companies know the commercials are painfully annoying and loaded with obviously misleading statistics. They are probably the greatest influence FOR teen smoking since James Dean.
