its a tricky thing to think about, cause the traffic isnt cause by residence. 50% of the cars in manhattan at 3Pm are people from jersey or westchester, and what not. traffic sucks everywhere. it can take 2 hours to go somewhere no matter where you live around here.

on a related note, NY traffic seems to come more from volume, where as NJ traffic seems to come more from lack of knowledgable drivers

unlike you, ill admit, i dont know, never go to brooklyn. and i see your mistake, for coming over the GWB and stayin straight will take you to the bronx, the GWB technically ends where you choose to take the west side, harlem, or go to the bronx, and the entrance to the bridge westbound is 179 and broadway. technically after the bridge its just 95 and the deegan that continue into the bronx. the GWB tech doesnt go all the way to the bronx

alright Wadd, based on the fact that the map shows all the bridge off ramps in manhattan before 95 crosses to the bronx, we will go with your logic. cause the bridge is 95 and the cross bronx is 95 means the bridge must not have ended yet. so techniclaly the GWB ends in boston or maine cause whose to say when the bridge stops along 95.
look, the bridge stops when you have to exit, you have to exit before the bronx when it splits the 2 manhattan highways, and since only 1 lane continues on for the deegan and one for the cross bronx, thats not still the bridge.

nyc is bad just because the roads suck- 2-3 lanes wide for a busy road. LA is insane because you'll be on a nice 7 lane wide freeway (ie. the 405) in the middle of the day in perfect weather, but it is just a parking lot.

I've lived here on and off for a good 20 years now, and there are still the same roads all over the place that are just a lane or two that handle major city traffic, yet are still designed for when this place was nothing but fields, a few farm houses, and scattered hotels to service Dulles Airport.
