Camera phones?

i want to get a camera phone. Should I wait till they get cheaper? i dotn really know anythign about them.

I thought about getting one. The Sony Ericsson T616 is pretty suave, but I can't say that I'd use it enough to make it worth the extra dough I'd spend. They're all the rage in Japan, I hear. If you need a new cell phone and you don't have a digital camera and are really only interested in taking candid photos for fun, it'd be worth it.

buy one. theyre pretty cool these days. as for the photos, most cameras dont take really great ones in general. so dont go at it just for the camera feature.

if you already have a plan and your contract has expired, you can usually get more minutes and a good discount on a phone if you sign up again.

plus i encourage all the ladies to email pictures of your boobies from your camera phones to me.

This one freshman left his camera phone at my house after a party last semester---Oh, we fucked with him--I was wicked drunk and my friend dared me to take a pic of my schlong with it, well my friend took the pic, and we set it as his permanent background to his phone. He was able to change it, but he can not delete the pic off the phone. Rule is, dont leave your camera phone in a house full of drunks.

The Chairman has the Sony Ericsson T616 and he doesn't like it because it's so small, but I'm sure other people like that sort of thing so that's up to you. My brother has TMobile and only paid like $50 for his T616. The picture quality is ok, but not totally great.

I have an LG VX-6000 (Verizon), I think you can pick these up w/a new plan for like $80 right now. The picture quality seems to be somwhat better than with the T616. I think they're ocming out with a model that has a flash shortly.

I still don't understand the whole Camera Phone thing. My phone has a radio and I love it. I don't know why that isn't a bigger deal?

The radio sounds great BTW. WJFK comes in perfectly at work and at home! I don't think I would use the camera very much, unless I ran into Bigfoot or something...

I have the Verizon LG-VX6000.

I like it and it takes decent shots. The only thing is I got this thing in Nov and I think it was out for like a month or 2 months before. So you would think the next big thing should be on the horizon soon.

Edit: When I got mine is was $250 with a $50 mail in rebate and they gave me all the accessories for free. Now I think it's down to $149 with a $50 mail in rebate.

I believe Verizon has a new Samsung out this week, with a Motorola, another Samsung and another LX coming soon.

I have the Verizon LG VX6000 as well. When I take a picture, it doesn't make any sound (I have shutter sound turned off). Is it true that all future picture phones will have to make a noise when you take a pic so people know you are taking there picture? My cousin has a newer picture phone and he cannot turn off the shutter sound.

whats the deal with the 2 way phones now? Like Verizon has some that im looking at, (im think im gonna renew my verizon plan for the $100 off) so they work only with other verizon uses with this feature or will they all eventually be connected?
