The lesbian reference in the thread title may be true but it has nothing to do with the point I want to make. (I just thought it made the title interesting).

The point I want to make about this story is twofold:

1. The Campaign Finance laws in this country suck.
2. What kind of wacky kid is going to send $1000 of his/her own money to some politician? This kid is being used/brainwashed.

The only thing this kid is missing is information...if she knew how many pixie stix, packs of pokemon, and happy meals that money translated to there would be no story here. OK, maybe the lesbian angle, but it would have nothing to do with politics.
