why does ejaculate give off a 'bleach' type odor?

i'm guessing it's the protein or possibly enzymes? i saw a show on the plight of the sperm cell and how it attacks the egg. but the egg had some defenses and one of them were enzymes. when we would make laundry detergent in Colgate i remember we would add enzymes and i remember someone saying they were micro-organisms that eat dirt. not sure if there are enzymes in the ejaculate though?

I think I read in Playboy once that the taste & odor can vary based on your diet. Salty foods give you one flavor and sugary foods give it another. I'll see if I can find something about it...

I think it's thanks to the prostate again. Like bleach, semen is pretty basic, because it has to protect the sperm from the acid in the vagina etc. The more basic it is, the more bleachy it smells, or so I would assume.

When I was looking this up I didn't see anything about nutmeg. But I did see a thread that suggested eating cinnamon an hour beforehand would give you cinnamon-flavored splooge, but that theory was unsubstantiated.
