back in 95 they started re-releasing classic star wars figures. now i could relive my childhood, and keep the figures in perfect condition at the same time. this is gonna rule.
a year goes by.. late night trips to wal mart looking for figures. breaking open the packing boxes before the employees get to put them on display. sure it was fun.

4 years go by..i cant stop. george lucas is my dopeman.
begin to question myself as i stare at these huge boxes full of figures. slowly begin to stop collecting.
then episode 1 comes out in 99. totally new figures. c3po with just his wiring!! darth maul!! samual l jackson!!
damn, almost kicked the habit.

the only thing that saved me was how bad Episode One was. the day it came out a friend got tickets for 2 showings that day. after the first showing, i was dreading to watch it all over again. it's safe to say that 2nd showing cemented the end of the collecting of figures.

i still have all the figures. I cant get rid of them.
might just give them away. dont know. anyone interested?

thank you for being there for me. praise allah

I was about five or six in 1983 and I had hundreds of Stars Wars action figures! Seriously, Bad Touch! Anyway, one day I took a treasure chest that we had in the attic and put ALL of the figures (except R2-D2) in it and buried it in my backyard. But I didn't worry 'cause I made a treasure map which gave me the location. Seriously, Bad Touch! Anyway, a month went by and I missed them and decided to recover them when to my horror realized that I had put the map in the fucking chest thus burying it with the fucking action figures! Ahhhh!! .......True story......Tears.

I went into a collectibles store near Madison Square Garden not too long ago, and they had porn star action figures, including Ginger Lynn! Unfortunately, I couldn't get a good look at them - they were hanging high on the wall. I wasn't about to say, "excuse me, may I please see the Ginger Lynn action figure?"

whorehay, your story sounds JUST Like mine.

I collected them big time from the 1995 "modern age" figures until the Episode I figs, even went to a midnight opening at a Toys R Us, man what a lame thing to do. I did buy a couple from Episode II (little Jango fett and even a Jango Fett 12")

I have since sold 80% of those figures on eBay. I kept a few that I thought were cool. Episode I got me off toys in a big way, I still do get a couple sometimes. I just got the McFarlane Toys Matrix Reloaded Morpheus in his red chair, Not much of a toy as his arms and legs don't move, but it looks cool sitting on my desk at work.

Jon's collection just proves to me that he does, in fact, have a sickness.

I once had a complete original set. What would that be worth today Jon?

i'll have to check out which ones exactly i have. theyre at my parents house an hour away.
by this point i might just be a dork and give out some if people want certain ones to complete a collection or if theyre special to them for some reason.

i've since opened the cool ones. i've also gotten some somewhat recently like SKW. jango fett was pretty cool. but i took it out of the box.

so yeah. give it a shot. i'll try to hook some of you up for free. i dont care. or maybe make a mega deal for some set price. again, i'm not asking for alot of money for these.

I still have some of my old star wars action figures. I wish I kept them in mint condition, there could be worth a shit load of money now.

I thought about collecting those a few years back, but then realized a) how expensive those damn things were (at least 5 bucks for ONE tiny little figure? You may rape me with your movies, but not your toys, Lucas!) and b) just how silly it'd be for me to actually have a collection of them. I do have a Boba Fett fiuure lying around somewhere, cause Fett's the shit.

I'm no better than you Star Wars geeks, though, cause I'll still collect the little G.I. Joe figures. Cause those were my favorite toys growing up, and frankly, Snake Eyes is a motherfucking pimp.

Snake Eyes > you.

whorehay, get me a list and we'll talk.

AJ, depends if they're opened or still on the car and the condition of the figure/card. If you opened and played with them, probably not too much. But if you have all the accessories, esp. the coins, might be a few bucks.

And I looked at the new Joes, but I hated what they did with almost every figure I liked. I'd rather just go out and buy vintage Joes for a few bucks more.
