Thank God its over this comedy pyramid is in my opinion a typical example of the D.C. callers they are just not funny. I don't wanna piss off the D.C. board members but the callers down there are boring.

I think that was the all time worst Comedy Pyramids. People were flat not paying attention to the topic. Come on people I know you can do better.

Call Screening. At least half the battle, more in my opinion, is call screening that gets relevant funny callers through to Ron fast, and they've been told the turn the radio down etc...
Watching Billy in action several times, the man could wail on screening. It's tough; I don't have the instincts; you gotta know your regular nut callers, your fakes, whether their thing is funny, whther it can air without being dumped, whether the person is hammered and slurring or whatever, all of this someimes in a ten second exchange. Find a good screener; you'll get the Pyramid built.
You could hear the pauses and the pacing. That's not unfunny calls, that bad screening and bad phone bank operation [Get you Big Thumb off the button...]. You'd think a college student eligible for credit in the area could be found who was a screening Savant.
The show needs it, badly. R+F take calls machine gun style sometimes.
That was a Comedy Pup-Tent.

Very accurate, Mike. Ron even commented on the job the screeners were doing tonight. Nobody was better on the phones than Billy.

I'm dull and too low-energy!
The "11th Commandment" pyramid was a good one. I think the callers just had a hard time keeping up with the concept of this one.

Some of the pyramids here have been great lately, but tonight's blew.
Ron's been complaining about the phone screeners almost every night, especially with the new restrictions.

It was a terrible comedy pyramid, maybe the worst ever, but if you have a problem with the DC audience, suck me.

It was more like a comedy pyramid scam......a few people get paid and the rest look stupid!

I think the callers just had a hard time keeping up with the concept of this one.while that is definitely true in a lot of cases, i agree with what was said earlier - even if you did "get it," it's kind of hard to come up with something funny.

I resent the comment that D.C. callers are boring. We aren't boring, we're semi-retarded and need special attention.

The only people who should be offended by "dc caller" comments are the actual dc callers.
With the show that ron and fez do, the callers are as important as the personalities. Listen to some of the old NY shows. The Rutger Hauer show is the best example i can think of. The callers were all spot-on, to the point, and most importantly, FUNNY!
A lot of that is screening, and a lot of that is the people who call in. Don and Mike's callers are generally retards, because that makes for a "good" don and mike show.
Ron and Fez are gettting too many of don and mike's callers.
