but i did download the Google Toolbar, it stops pop-ups... it's kind've like saltpeter for the computer,,, heehee

I have been using yahoo for years, before there even was a google. I still use it out of habit, but if i do not like the results, I will use google.

Google has now become a verb in our society. You will here things like " I did not know what the capital of norway was, so I googled it"

If anyone cares how google works, you can watch a 50 minute video given at the university of washington by one of the founders of google HERE (http://www.researchchannel.org/asx/uw_cse_google_250k.asx)

You need at least a DSL connection to watch it.

I found that Google is the best for searching. AltaVista is also really nice becasue you seem to find more porn on there and way more links to picture sites than any other search engine. it almost seems to break into members sections in some ways becasue of how much content you find.

In the beginning, there was Yahoo! and it was good.
Then hotbot introduced the web spider and it was good.
Altavista took said spider and refined it and it was good
Metacrawler came about to search all the searches as altavista began to decline and it was good
And then Google came forth and it was good

I tried it today and found way more (and better) Anetta Keys pictures on Alta than Google images.
