So in a week I will be moving back to PA.
I moved here two years ago hoping that somehow there would have been something in Jersey for me and maybe cause of my lack of trying or there just not being anything out there, things just got flat. Besides the fact that I am back home in PA like 3 times a week and the drives home are a killer.
Even though I have been away from here recently, being close to you all in NYC was a really great thing and I still have some vivid memories of the times at Bar 9 and I think that was the only gathering I went to cause I could never get over my nervous condition. Yeah, that is still there and I think worse than it was before. Do gatherings still even go on at Bar 9? I was up in the city the other week just casue I had nothing else to do and while wandering around I walked past the Bar. Lots of great memories and mammaries from what I can remember.
If this gets really boring here after a while, let me know. Thank you :)
So after moving here I did join this lovely board and really enjoyed myself and had fun. You all (some of you) also embraced my crappy cartoons and made me feel really good in the process. Thank you Jeff for the exposure. It is greatly appreciated. I loved my first summer here as I would just drone out to WNEW all day. Ferrall, Ron & Fez, O & A and the MORE Ron & Fez. Being able to be within listening distance and listen was so great. I think the Stalker Patty wig pulling off was the first show I heard up here although O & A were on in Philly, hearing them out of NYC just felt really cool. I also was so excited to listen to Eddie Trunk on Fridays and Saturdays. What a great show. Oh yeah, the best thing that happened to me over here besides the Hard Rock Farewell where I ignored people :p and got to meet Ron and Fez for the first time and have long lasting fantasies about thr RF Babies was the Eddie Trunk Birthday Party where I got to see my childhood idol, Ace Frehley at Don Hill's. I think I even got hated on real bad here too but maybe that just went with the Jersey territory. I recall threats of violence too but things get kind of cloudy there.
I am so freaking thankful to have such a memory capacity that most of the things I have done, not only since being here but from many years ago, still remain photographic in my mind.
Being in such close proximity, I did make some really great friends with whom I really enjoyed hanging out with.
This kind of feels like a school yearbook in a way, funny.
I enjoyed the time I got to spend with well, you know who you are. I don't want to embarrass anyone.
So I will still post here even though I will be another hour and a half away. I hope that something will pop up artwise in Philly. Hell, something a bit special has even popped up in DC. If there are softball games this summer which it looks like there will be, I have to make that extra effort to come up and say hey and smack the ball around. How about a fall street hockey get together? I would be so there for that.
