Help a lovesick brother out!

As most of you know, when I went on vacation to the Philippines I fell totally in love with a girl 3 days before I left. I didn't want to say goodbye, let go of her delicate hand, no longer see that beautiful smile that made me fall for her in the first place. :( I am so lost without her and she is sooo far away. I have even considered moving there just to be with her. All I can think of, is her, every waking moment and even before I go to sleep.

It happened so quickly, only in 3 days but there was an instant connection when her smile met mine. I was sooo lost and currently still am. I am an absolute wreck here although I seem like my regular RFM charming and over-the-top self.

Someone help me out here. First time, I can truly say I am in love and this is definitely the forever kind of love. My friends call our relationship kinda like Love Actually (for those that get the reference).

What should I do?

Hey buddy, I wouldnt want you to think that Im not sensative to your anguish over this emotional seperation, but consider the facts of the situation; shes on the other side of the planet, if you moved there, youd be altering everything your familair with. If she moved here, shed be doing the same. Does she speak English? Are you prepaired for the hurdles shes going to have to go through in immigration?. What would you even DO over there if you moved there?
If your able to do all these things and its not a problem, then Id say go for it. But consider also that there are millions of girls right here that have no love and who could make a far smoother transaction to a lifestyle that they are familar with. Im not trying to poisen the idea in your mind bro, just saying what you need to consider. I mean for me, Id rather have someone closer to home. It makes the whole relationship easier. When theres holidays and her family is over seas, shes gonna be a wreck. Unless they move over here...

when i went to vegas a few years ago, i met a guy who was from england. we spent two days together before we both had to go home. i liked him and thought that, if he lived near me, i could see us trying to start a relationship. the night before we left, he told me that he loved me. he talked about me moving to england, or him to new york. he talked about meeting each other's families, and having kids. after we both got home, we started emailing to keep in touch. it took about a week before i really started thinking that he was completely insane. the two days were great, but you can't fall in love with someone in two days (or, i'm guessing, in three). he didn't know me at all. whatever he was in love with, it wasn't me.

i don't mean to discount the way you feel; i think we've all been there. but, the truth is that very few relationships work out, and it takes a lot of time together and work. most of the time, it's a lot better in your head than it is in life. if i were you, i would just be careful how much you're willing to give up in order to try to be with this girl.

but, whatever you decide, i wish you luck.

Long distance relationships suck ass. The first few weeks you keep in touch and you write and every visit is just a painstaking kick to the groin because in the back of your mind that you have to leave.

To make it work, one of you has to eventually move but it's a hard choice. One of you have to give up the not just the life you know but a culture you know.

It sucks and it's hard and trust me if you want to keep this up it will be even harder. My advice is if you want to make this work, write and visit. But if this girl is the one for you you will have to really consider what you or she will have to give up for you 2 to be together.

Well brother, I feel your pain. I have have had feelings for a girl when she lived on the other side of the continent.
If she has internet ability, keep in touch with her via emails and the occasional phone call. (maybe once every-other week) see how things go.
How much time did you spend with her before you had to leave?
And if you really want to...you could always fly her up here for a long weekend or for the week. (if her family does not object that is)
I wish you all the best of luck. Every experience and person is different so what worked for some might not work for you. Just take your time with it, because even rushed love sometimes burns out too harshly.

Or even to another state. Trust me-- I almost did and felt the reprecussions since. It could have been one of the worst mistakes of my life. Now I will never ever move away or into an apartment with someone until I know we are getting married. Love is too fragile, and until you meet the "one" you can save yourself a lot of agony and pain by keeping independent.
