When you were in school- whether grade, middle, or high- were the kid picked on or the school bully?
i remember when i was in catholic school ( i was only there for 1st and 2nd) a girl named marissa was always real mean to me
I mean do teachers really even notice this even happening? I don't think mine did

In school-- I got pick on by a pack of 4-5 kids (when it was one-one they would leave me alone) and another time during the graduation dance another one of my classmates wanted to fight me with his 2 friends backing him up. Both situations I didn't fight.
Out of school-- I was the person defending the one being picked on (even if the bully was a friend of mine--sometimes you have to stand your ground for what's right).
What is it about the school bell that makes it kryptonite??
Let's just say that when I played a couple of friendly games of tackle football with those guys---I KNEW who I was hunting for. ;) (One time I got to be captain to choose teams--I didn't care if I won or lost but I made sure that the people that I was gunning for were on the other team) :eg:

I was a cool kid. I neither (and I'd prefer it if you pronounced it "ny-ther") was a bully or picked on. And look where it got me- now I play on the computer on a major holiday!

Kid picked on big time...especially in grammar school..the teachers always told me i brought it on myself but they just didn't want to do anything about it...idk why....there were many times I could have left that school but the thought of going to CCD made me stay.....lol
I can't make a sig pic so I just have to stick with this stupid sentence.

In 8th grade this one boy used to sit in front of me in math class and pick on me all the time. The teacher never did anything. One day I had enough and so I took my math book, stood up, and whacked him over the head with it....really hard. He left me alone after that.

I wasn't either until 7th grade, when I was picked on to no end. Luckily, over the summer before 8th grade, I had my growth/weight spurt and suddenly wasn't as appealing as a "victim." Unfortunately, I decided to pull the dick move and became a HARDCORE bully during 8th and 9th grade. I thought it was out of defensive mechanisms, but now I realize I was just being an ass, and I feel REALLY shitty about a lot of the things I did. 10th grade, I moved overseas to a really cool school and mellowed out...mainly because I discovered music, drugs and sex.

When I was little I went to Catholic school. I didn't have a whole lot of friends so I definitely got picked on a whole lot. Though at some point in grade school I was transferred into the public school system (a teacher had abused me...not sexually).
In public school I found many more friends and did very well. It was like starting over for me. I got the chance to start over again when my family moved. I had completed one year in high school in the town I grew up in, and then I moved into a new school. In the new high school I had many friends and I never really bullied by anyone. I think because I ran with a tough crowd that no one wanted to fuck with.
Basically from high school on I never really had problems with anyone.

Up until eigth grade, I was picked on cuz I was fat. In 9th grade, I lost weight, and in 10th people were so amazed by how different I looked that I got more friends, some of them being the ones that used to pick on me. I never could do the bully thing, although I did pick on kids.

All through high school I was picked on, mostly because I was in some form of a cast and on crutches for 2 of my four years. In fact, some of you pricks that picked on me may be on this board!!!
This isn't counting the grade school bullshit I had to deal with due to the fact that for the first 11 years of my life I had cataracts....

i was never a bully. in junior high, there was a girl who picked on me because i was flat chested. but, as i'm sure i've already mentioned at some point on the board, she had to drop out of 7th grade when she got knocked up, and i now have an excellent rack. so there.
in my junior and senior years of high school, i had a boyfriend who was a big (insane) bully. it was a weird position, because i always felt bad for the people he would pick on, but i couldn't really say anything to him about it. so, basically, after he left, i would go over to the person who he'd been picking on, and apologize for him and make sure the person was ok

in grammar school, i was pretty much ignored until 7th grade when i learned to be a wise ass and started to torment the nuns ...
until high school i was beseiged on a daily basis by my next door neighbor ... he'd beat me relentlessly, i'd say something about his mother, i'd get another beatdown - a very vicious cycle ...
i ran into him a two years ago, and it was just sad: he was all cracked out and detached from his family and life in general ... i used to dream of the day when i would eventually win, but the victory wasn't that sweet ...

May not have been that sweet, but probably not nearly as bitter as it was on his end.
But I understand the sentiment. I came to the conclusion a while back that it's more desirable to try to better myself, rather than try and be better than the person beside me.

I was never picked on, so I guess I would have to say bully. Though my conscience would not let me be to mean, I did do a few things I regret.

I was not picked on, nor was I popular. A teacher once told me that I "blend into the wallpaper".
But even if someone did yank off my tail, it always grew back.

i wasn't picked on in school, but i wasn't a bully either. i can't say i never made fun of anyone, but i don't think i really bothered any of the other kids either. i think part of it was i was placed in advanced classed in some subjects and regular classes for other subjects so i ended up working with most people from my grade. and i was perfect, so no one made fun of me.
